For what it's worth I did take up the offer with these guys a few months ago at £300 with no gpu (had one already) . After ordering the base kit a staff member offered me a warranty and package of upgrades for 3/4 of its original cost. Politely turned him down and he came back again with half the cost. Although a bunch of stuff in the package was guff (OS "tuned for gaming", a truly awful webcam/headset combo that I haven't even been able to ebay) I did research the cost of these upgrades on other sites and found I was getting a good deal.
    mastercruzer's avatar
Curious what kind of upgrades did they offer? Reduced price for parts (nvme, cpu etc) or just accesories?

Hey thank you so much for your deals. Really appreciate all the input.

I was thinking to go for this deal with upgrade ASUS PRIME B550M-K as I have 2 M.2 drives at home already. (I have removed them from this offer to save 30£)

I'm undecided if to upgrade the PSU with the promo PSU - 700W to GIGABYTE 750W 80+ GOLD : +£40.00 so that I get the gold one but I know barely nothing about PSU so not sure if it's worth it in the long run.

Planning to use this mainly for gaming.

    What do you think?

    appreciate your input!

+40 is a wise move if the budget is there.

Higher Quality PSU that exceeds this GPU base.
    Boosting laters into Higher GPU's
    Further longivity when pushed.

Vs lower cost, enough psu for this spec, no frills and matchs the spec of multiable other prebuilt at more cost.

it will really come down to future planning pal, not something me or others can say, we can give extremely more postives in other words on the upgrade one, but the final factor on "usefullness to value base" will depend on u. (edited)

Could anyone comment on how this PC would run? Will it be quiet? Are there any upgrades on site you'd recommend to make it run quietly (and coolly)?

Friend of mine literally just bought the deal from the other week with 3060 downgrade and 5700x upgrade with tx550.....looks like this might have been a touch better
    FairPriceSystems's avatar

    As Quoted above.

The velocity deal is £100.00 more.

    A520 Tuf -> B550M
    500GB - > 1TB
Cit Flash -> 1st player case
    3060 -> 3060Ti

    £40 / £15 / £10 / £40 = £105....

    something like that.
now in respect u have done -40 on the gpu, and then +40 on the 5700X

What if we take this 5600X/A520 into 5700X/B550

    £590 link.
    +40 board
    +40 cpu
    +15 gpu
    +10(case change)

So u have the same deal, but ur friend could of cut back in certain ways, in part basis.
    in value basis

and then ur friend might of topped up to the TX550 which is an additional cost on that line.

You are right afew touch, but i feel ur friend has the upper one, more suited n booted for the 5700X, u have the mesh case, B550 board, so thats a much more 5700X, not saying a A520 cant handle 5700X it can and that is why im seperated the cpu in the promo section on my suggestion but the b550 is a much better pairing. ALT: AMD Velocity

    Here is metor:

On the 3060 Deal we speak on:

If You were to add in the B550 / 1Tb in the promo section . You can get a 3060Ti for £45.
    VS
If you were to add in the RTX3060Ti on site, u get a B550M and 1Tb for £10

Thats the metor which matters is what u were interested in.

so if were boosting a couple of things chaps, have a look the velocity (edited)

Bare in mind the 5600g is much slower than the x so make sure the igpu trade off is worth it.

    Good deal. Thanks

Do I need to change the motherboard to make it Wi-Fi enabled?

This looks great. I must say I can’t recommend Palicomp enough. They have been fantastic both pre-Sales and after sales questions.

One thing I will commend them on is when I discussed a system and upgrades they told me to choose a different base system and then upgrade that. I got a better setup for £200 less that what I had proposed. Look at their site and look at upgrades. Some systems have discounted upgrade offers to save even more.

I still don't think its cheap, Its got no windows OS for a start that needs added, So the headline price is way off the mark by the time you add upgrades
    olioli86's avatar
Was cheaper than the total for buying parts separately when I looked. I'm thinking of getting this so can you point me in the direction of what you think is a better deal

Wondering if you've put together any systems that are a good future proof setup in terms of motherboard, processor, RAM etc? Something that if I had to upgrade the graphics card in 3 years wouldn't necessarily cause a bottleneck.

Yeah £710 with the TX550 is my suggestion.
    # if ur thinking of boosting past a 3060Ti laters, another £25 for the 750W Gigabyte is where id go also.

I paid this much for my RTX 3060 3 years ago

This is a good deal for an entry level gaming PC! A few minor upgrades and you'll have a very steady machine. Minor negative is lack of future upgrade potential i.e. you'd need to get a new motherboard to move to a newer CPU (AMD5 socket) and DDR5 RAM.
  26. atc367squadron's avatar
Can someone help me please? This setup is perfect but I’ve got a game coming out that requires the RX 6800XT. If I upgraded is this still a good deal and is there anything else I need to add on too? Novice here…
  27. D3P0's avatar
Recommended this to a colleague, remove SSD and bought one from amazon(44£ 1tb). Added ram at 3600mhz, Asus prime b550m, and be rock quiet 2( the one I chose was not avaiable). Then they offered him windows 11, 3years warranty and upgrade to msi version of the GPU.

I had to go yesterday to his house because I tried to mount the WiFi card but was having black screen. He didn't put back the GPU correctly (edited)
