I've been wearing this boot for about 8 years now, generally last me 2 years (I do a lot of Walking / Hiking), just ordered my next pair this morning, and this is by far the cheapest I've ever paid, so thought I'd share on here.

Really good, comfortable, lightweight, hardwearing, waterproof boot. I've tired Berghouse / Mountain Warehouse own brand / Timberland, and these IMO provide the best balance of cost / longevity / comfort.

    From the Scarpa website:
"The Cyrus Mid GTX is a perfect compromise between a full walking boot and a walking shoe, ideal for summer trails and adventure travel. The Cyrus is built to be a more relaxed, comfortable shape, perfect to wear for walks in the country side and occasional urban trips."

So it's a more comfortable boot for easy trails. The sole will flex easily whereas a boot designed for scrambling up a rocky mountainside will be much stiffer. If you're looking for a boot that's a step up in terms of tackling trickier terrain then Sports Pursuit are selling the Scarpa Trex GTX for £124.99 (plus p&p):

    I'm a 9, and buy 9.5, so yes, I guess.

I had the approach shoe version of this. Found them to be exceptionally slippery when wet. Great price though

Yeah I'd agree these could do with better grip in certain conditions, probably my only slight complaint.

Well spotted, I bought the Scarpa Men’s Terra GORE-TEX® all leather uppers for £129 from the same seller. Great price and boots I am currently using which have been excellent.

The Terras at £129 are tempting, torn between them and these ones. Good find anyway OP!

For anyone wanting to try them on before purchasing, Millets will price match with Ultimate Outdoors.

I bought some a few weeks ago from my local Millets at this price due to price matching.

Great boot by the way, although I have found them a little slippy at times.

As far as I am aware, Scarpa brand is always an afficionado's / professional's choice decades now. If I didn't own Meindl Bhutans in a UK 14 (which is rare) I'd definitely give Scarpa a go who accommodate big feet as well.

Always bought the terra, maybe time for a change?

I've also always used the Terra, I'm thinking the same.

Any idea on sizing and these will accommodate wide feet?

I don't have this model, but I wouldn't recommend Scarpa for wide feet in my experience. The toe box is tiny and I feel like my feet are always being squeezed to a point at the end of them!

These look too nice, you wouldn't like to get them muddy
