Didn't come out too good in the air fryer, I think they need to be deep fried.

This is a thin filo type pastry, traditional use a more pie type pastry that's thicker and less crispy.

The traditional types don't seem to be sold in supermarkets - I think they are only available from restaurant or Asian suppliers. (edited)

In air fryer you need to brush it with oil on both sides

I tried these by cooking them in a deep fryer and in a Ninja (after brushing them with oil) but they just did not come out as good as the ones you can get from an Indian sweet/bakery shop.

If you deep fry then don't brush with oil as they probably already dripping, just put it in the air fryer or oven and cook one side 5 minutes then flip them and cook another 5 minutes

These used to be £2.50 on offer. Asda bumped them to £5 so the offer price now is higher

Chicken price / meat price or Veg price
Everything is up, so it's not like Asds bumped up price, it's inflation.

Used to be very nice but the last time I bought them they seem to have substituted the meat for more vegetables

Anyone know if any Asda's in northern Ireland stock stuff like this? My local never does
  14. adamnsu's avatar
I shallow fry them and it suits me. I however microwave the samosas for a minute and half while I let the oil heat up. Although yes the tastiest will be deep frying them

Buy the Madani samosas, day and night difference in taste especially the meat ones. Packing etc look the same but its usually priced at £3.99.
