    I'd be interested to know how this compares to the ESAM1600 delonghi. I have that currently but find it does make my coffees a bit cold...but this may be maintenance - I haven't been able to restore things to original performance even by taking all the parts out and cleaning them (also I'm in a hard water area).

    I find the following helps, leave it on for 10 mins, then run the water rinse cycle into the cup you are going to use and let that heat the cup, then do your coffee. The rinse cycle seems to get the machine up to temperature too. (edited)

    Is cold lattes a common thing for automatic bean to cup machines then? My Melitta is terrible for it.
    Expected better from a £700 machine.
    Every time I put it in the microwave, a little piece of me dies inside...
    Any idea if this any better?
