No 5 year warranty though..

Bit of blurb againSony’s stunning audio-visual showpiece represents a titanic shift in home entertainment. Ushering in eye-popping 4K HDR, this breaks the mould of regular panels by packing its 49” screen with a greater colour palette. This depth-enhancing tech is backed by Sony’s innovative TRILUMONOS backlight, crisp 400Hz motion rate and intuitive Android Smart platform. This even has built-in Playstation Now, letting you play selected PS3 games without needing a console. At the cutting-edge of TV technology, the XD80 is a complete hub that will change the complexion of your living room.

I bought the 49x8305 for £480 at the end of October. Fantastic set for the price. Really great picture. Quite a few visitors have commented on the image clarity despite the fact I'm only watching sky hd on it and not 4K.

That's the price I want! Makes me think to hold out for Jan price drops to match that. Don't think I'll get that again before then.

does anyone know if this is 10 bit?

I'm pretty certain that 10 bit doesn't start until the xd9 range.

According to this it's 10 bit.

Yes (Up to 3840x2160/60p 10bit)3

But I also saw this

Motionflow™ XR 400Hz(native50Hz)

50hz is a bit of a downer.

My bad HEVC SUPPORT

I keep on seeing suggestions that motion issues on native 50Hz sony tvs are over stated and very few will see much difference. Is there any clarity on how much difference someone might generally see?

Are these really only 1080p\[email protected]? (different panels from the equivilent US ones?) Can someone who has a PC hooked up confirm that it's not just listed as that because of the country standard? (x800d is listed as 60hz on rtings)

I'm pretty certain that 10bit is merely support for the hvec signal and not necessarilly the colour depth of the screen.......I'll be happily proven wrong though as it'd mean mainstream 10bit is becoming a lot more affordable, especially if it's true 10 bit (rather than 8+2 dithering).

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I connected my PS4 Pro to this TV today. I took a screenshot.

I thought that the PS4 Pro only supported HDR10 and on the screenshot you can see 60hz.
