It comes With skylanders giants starter pack but has a rare gnarly tree Rex only available buying a ps3 so worth around 20-30 on its own. If u break upthe pack and sell individual there a good chance of shifting for 60-80 but if u want quick sell then u easily get 40-50 for it

Ordered. My current PS3 is being used almost constantly as a media player so this should let me get it back and replace it with this. Don't really need more than 12GB just to watch movies and Netflix.

Some games need to be installed. You'll be fine with the ones that don't and one possibly two that do. You may have to juggle the space by playing only a fixed number of games at a time.

For those (like me) too tight/lazy to get a proper hard drive bracket I've found that there is a piece of cardboard packaging inside the ps3 box with some numbers imprinted on it, if you tear one end off and fold it in half it fits in under a bare 2.5" drive perfectly..... another tenner saved!

The MAC address of the Skylanders "portal of power" may be matched to the PS3 console in the pack, it might not work with any other PS3.

Sold mine skylanders for £40 & controller for £20

Can you just use an external hard drive for these?

maybe i am missing something here but surely this model means you have to constantly delete and reinstall games and some wont work at all (e.g infamous 2 is a mandatory 15gb install)

You can fit a HDD in but you need to buy the dedicated HDD mounting bracket. Third party ones won't fit in unless you bash them about a bit to fit, and I couldn't get the paper/card 'under the drive' trick to work.
