- shame about castel coch, but some free events, St Davids March in the city, and at the Millenium Centre on the bay on the day a free afternoon festival, book tickets in advance.

Another option would be Chepstow Castle followed by Tintern Abbey which is only about 20 minutes further on (away from Cardiff though if you were planning on including Cardiff).
