This, easy enough done although not necessarily cheap.
BTW, does your neighbours husband know you're recording his wife in the bathroom?
It's called legalised lying.
Simple spelling mistake we've all made a spelling mistake before but thank you for pointing it out I'll edit it to keep the grammar Nazi's happy.
Think of it like a 5 laned motorway with 100 cars on each lane, every stop 100 cars can get off at the junction. With 200Mb there are only 2 lanes. There is no need for a 1Gb port on powerline at the moment, very few if any devices have the capabilty for that. If you are only running 1 device from powerline you only need the 200Mb really, TPL-308E2K. 500AV is for 2 or more devices. I have these, you get better speed than the TP-Link ones i used to have, considerably better speed.
They aren't really meant for people who need fast speeds for file transfers. They can't transfer 500mbps in both directions. Halve it and then there are overheads.
If you can run cables these are by far the best option.
I don't do any transferring but I have weak wifi in 2 areas of the house and STB that need net access. I will be using them to connect up wifi access points.
Providing your broadband can achieve this your home plugs could do 8x this.
Your intended purpose is similar to mine, these would be fine with a little extra in reserve.
Just grabbed now.
Thanks
Thanks
Yes they will be limited to 100mbps but you probably won't even get that. Very few of the 500mbps devices ever exceed 100mbps and most don't even approach 100mbps in real world use. My 500mbps homeplugs usually transmit and receive around 80mbps.
Yh I have a network of 4 adapters set up with these and yes they are limited to 100Mbps. I average around 9.2MB/s when transferring files across computers but that is with extension cables. So these plugs would be good if you just plan to spread the internet across the house rather than using wi-fi but since you have a 120Mb broadband I suggest looking at something else.
I don't understand all this tech... why do they state 500mbps then??
Ordered a couple of packs
Leap of faith as I read no reviews on speed but seems like a great price.
So would these be ok for watching Lovefilm on my Smart TV upstairs then?

These are great. Got them as replacements for Chinese ones off a different site which were useless
These worked, straight out of the box. Excellent
I doubt you're speaking from experience.
Bought these to improve my downstairs reception for my wife's laptop
Its flying now. Speeds are great
The devolo's from the last deal are currently sat at 150mbps, not sure of the point of these.
I've use home plugs but I only have 50Mbps ones
I don't need experience of 500Mbps ones. I already know noise, security and overheads make these plugs opperate at much slower than the misleading advertised speeds.
As for file transfers I was referring to people who move huge GB files around. Sure you might hit your 70Mbps fibre speeds now on computers further away from the router but if you move files over to a network drive or backup over networks you would really want gigabit Ethernet which would be 8x faster than these.
Which are better then, these or the Devolo ones? I have 30mb virgin broadband

Need to get internet at the end of the garden to set up an ethernet webcam, but... the power to the end of the garden goes through a plug in RCD
Any ideas?
Too far for Wifi to reach.
Thanks

I recently bought these mainly because I can still use the power socket as a power socket. I also have 30mb Sky and I haven't noticed a difference from an ethernet connection and theses.

Can you not upgrade to a wireless N+ router I remember read that some have a range of up to a mile, then use your old router as a bridge.
They are actually 250mbps upstream, and 250mbps downstream. Total 500mbps.
But as the ports are capped at 100mbps maximum, you won't see higher than that anyway.
So, I've recently moved to a new place which has a really poor broadband connection (already spoken to BT/Virgin and no fibreoptic available!). It's a 3 storey property and the router is on the ground floor. Of course my study & bedroom is on the top floor!
I'm looking for something to boost the signal from the router so it actually reaches up here at a usable connection (it's literally 4-5mbs...).
Would these help me out? As in I plug one of these to the router via ethernet, then plug the other in upstairs and plug in another ethernet to my laptop? Would really appreciate some advice!
yep.. this is exactly what you need
Ordered and heat added/given.
