Unfortunately I've had the pleasure of this run, the wood is paper thin and not suitable for long term use.

I must be getting old.. The thought of a few chickens is definitely starting to appeal.

Just not sure if the neighbours share my dream.

My dream is to grow a pig, few chickens and few rows of potatoes and tomatoes in the small garden in a shared terraced victorian house.
It's still less annoying than lighting a fire in the garden and roasting pieces of pig for a family of 15 Romanian gypsies every weekend.

    Thanks for this.

Now that KFC is so expensive, this will come in handy.

Give a man a a chicken, feed him for a day. Teach a man to chicken, feed him for a lifetime.

Looks like something Taylor Wimpey or Barrat Homes would make.

So easy to build your own coop to be honest … can go all creative as well that this disposable one. Chickens need a much bigger run than this one looks like.

When I see this I always vote cold as not fit for purpose. If you are going to keep animals treat them decently.

Oh man, I must not let anyone else in my family see this. They have chicks at my daughter's nursery

For any prospective (and existing) chicken owners, don't forget that all flocks (even just one hen!) will now need to be registered with Defra from 1st October

ps, i've got chickens myself, and for anyone on the fence, even leaving aside the new red tape, I definitely recommend them... very entertaining creatures, easy to look after, and as a bonus get free eggs
