Anyone else realise the batteries are actually 2x2ah rather than 2x1.5ah as listed/in the pictures? Nice little bonus, and can to add to my Worx mower collection! Although they don’t have the led power level indicator like the newer versions. (edited)

Seems like an excellent deal for what you are getting here. The batteries and charger alone would probably cost the best part of the asking price here!

Register the purchase with Worx and they will extend the manufacturer's warranty to 3 years.

Hot, great price for both. Is 107nm on the impact enough to take off car wheel bolts?
    viper668's avatar
No and I do not recommend an impact driver. You will need an impact wrench and an impact rated nut wrench otherwise the normal socket set type will crack/shatter.
  2. Muggy768's avatar
Could one of these drill into brick?
    teh.arn's avatar
Yep the hammer drill can easily.
The only thing I’ve not been able to drill into is a lintel.

It’s handled everything else I’ve thrown at it

I have received my set today, I too have 2 x 2AH batteries non indicator type. Charged them up and have already given both units a thorough test. Impact driver is faster than my Bosch pro (same 2AH) at driving in 6 x 70mm single threaded wood screws. Drill coped fine with 6mm holes into London bricks.
  5. Phillip_Moore1's avatar
Is this better than just using a combi drill? Assume you can use the hammer drill for screwing into rawl plugs?
    viper668's avatar
Impact driver is designed to screw in thick or long screws and bolts, it’s too powerful for flat pack furniture and delicate work. Combi is good for screwing screws into raw plugs as you can select the amount of turning force before the clutch engages /disengages.

eg you want to screw in small screws then you would select number 1 or 2 on the combi drill. Using the impact driver you have no power control other than using your trigger, pull the trigger too much will almost instantly strip the head of the screw in seconds

Received my package today. As previously mentioned by others, can confirm received 2 x 2.0ah batteries. Happy days. Looks a good bit of kit
  7. MasonRed's avatar
I have had these a few years. Unfortunately one of the batteries only lasted a few months and stupidly I didn't replace under warranty. Now a new battery would cost more than the price of the drill so I live with the one. Great deal, not sure if I'll bite yet.
    darren_chandler's avatar
Yes the 1.5s can be 50/50.. The green China version is very reliable if your ever looking for new battery.. 4ah can be found for £25-30. (edited)

    Thanks for the deal!
Any recommendations for small drill bit set?
    Like amazon.co.uk/Bos…031 ?
    darren_chandler's avatar
Yea can't go wrong with the Bosch x line. They are bang on for the price (edited)
  9. tonyawesome69's avatar
For someone that is a complete beginner in DIY and just bought their first house, would you recommend this or another drill like a combi drill?
    darren_chandler's avatar
This is basically a combi drill, has the normal drill/screw setting also
  10. Māsharu_Rou's avatar
Anyone know how to register the warranty, the page only allows entry of 1 serial number, do I have to register each drill seperately or just enter the serial number of either 1 of them?
    Brightsideoflife's avatar
The product code for the set is WX938 which is in the list? So I presume you could register once for the set, or register each separately. Although the order is for the combo kit WX938
  11. Daysleeper's avatar
Any ideas which aftermarket batteries are compatible with these?
    darren_chandler's avatar
Any of the green China ones are decent and last extremely well. If it's 4ah more like 3.5ah or 6 feels like a 5.5. (I have the battery indicator ones)
  12. klaus.basingher's avatar
Love to buy these but can't justify it at the moment...
    peejaylew's avatar
Justify ? This is HUKD, you don't have to justify, You like it you buy it, then you decide if you NEED it !
  13. krishna72's avatar
    It's is hot!!!!!
Needs so more votes, 10 times better than the black and decker rubbish what people have posted before on here, not trade standard, but great for DIY
  14. ajind007's avatar
is 1.5 AH battery holds enough power?
    viper668's avatar

    Replying to

Screwing in/out wood screws and small hex bolts. Helps you drive in screws into wood for example if you had new decking and needed to screw in say 300 screws. Not for car wheel nuts/bolts

Yeah tiny compact little 400mA thing. Suits me as slow charging much better for the batteries. The charger that came with the strimmer is 2A so I've got the best of both worlds, but I can see you wouldn't be that chuffed if you need them recharged in a hurry.
  16. RUGAAL's avatar
Can u use as normal screwdriver
    viper668's avatar
Yes for more delicate work use a screwdriver bit in the normal drill. For big or longer screws that's what the impact driver is for. Impact driver is like a hammer hitting a force sideways. A hammer drill is giving you force from the back of the drill, like hammering. (edited)

Can someone recommend a set of bits to go with this? For general DIY. Thanks
    darren_chandler's avatar
Can't go wrong with Bosch x line bit sets. £15 version be the cheapest I'd buy. Decent for variety and quality. often found for £10
  21. peddaa's avatar
Suggestions for compatible drill bits please - for general diy and occasional drilling into bricks

I've used alot and always go back to bosch

Just received mine, is this normal for the flash of light inside the drill? It also smells a bit like burning after the spark of light. files.fm/f/m…w7c
    viper668's avatar
Yes these tools are both brushed motors so the sparks are created every time you use it , it’s how the motor is powered/turned. The brushes will eventually wear out, hence why the brushless equivalent are more expensive as they don’t have brushes but are turned/powered by magnets instead and last much much longer
  23. tony863's avatar
I'm finding the impact drill isn't very strong at driving screws deep into wood. It gets them 80% there but I'm finding myself doing the last bit by hand. Still a fairly good set for the money
    viper668's avatar

    Replying to

Make sure you are using good screwdriver or impact driver bits too, makes all the difference. Also try pulsing the screw in. Eg at the very start, hold the screw, seat the screw driver bit into the screw and pull the trigger and stop and pull it and stop that will help keep it straight , then continue.

Is there any hard case for this set of drill (edited)
    saintscouple's avatar
When i ordered mine from Homebase all those years ago it came with a fabric bag that struggled to fit everything in.
I now have this stanley bag which is perfect, can fit both tools, charger, batteries, drill / screwdriver bits and more. Really rate it.

They're back in stock. Just bought one for no good reason as I already have a decent drill and impact driver but that's the HUKD way.

1161535401658158779.jpgHow does this compare to this
I got this one for 44.10 on prime day should I cancel it and buy this what what do you think guys
    viper668's avatar
Personally yes I would prefer this worx offer. 1) the combi drill has slightly more Nm of power, so a bit more grunt when drilling into hard surfaces. 2) you will quickly become very bored of drilling a pilot hole with the combi drill, then changing the drill bit to a screwdriver bit to tighten . 3) I often find I'm always reaching for the impact driver for general tightening screws etc etc. Plus you can buy drill bits for the impact driver too for example Bosch blue tips have a body for the impact driver unit (hex) but have the drill bit for drilling..... Got it 30ish 2 years ago, going strong. One of the best purchases.

I bought this set from Homebase 4 yrs ago. Still working perfectly. Mainly Home DIY projects.
  35. saintscouple's avatar
I purchased this set some 5 years ago at homebase, around the £80 mark due to incorrect price label.
Use them for basic diy regulary - tools and batteries still going strong.
    Excellent kit.

Drill and screwdriver Bit set is not included, how much that cost and will that be easily available?
    darren_chandler's avatar
Any generic set will do. Can recommend Bosch x line series sets as a decent gd priced set. Each set is different depending on your needs.
