I've had a SX since day 1, even got a SS for upstairs but honestly ... It'd a hard recommend just now.
I have a large library on Xbox but the first party stuff is not encouraging. So I'm in the ecosystem, despite also having skin in Playstation too.
The best thing I can say about getting an Xbox, just now, is that Game Pass is still a very good deal and regional purchasing is infinitely easier on Xbox, so you can get games a lot cheaper than they are on other platforms.
But genuinely curious where Xbox go from here. I think the AB merger may have made Xbox too big to fail, but without that... You have to wonder if MS still consider it worthwhile to stay in gaming longer term.
Surely there's already an eye towards the next console and maybe there's internal conversations about that endeavour being profitable enough.
Personally I think the market needs the 3 platforms to push innovation and keep things competitive in terms of pricing etc.
Remember Sony were eager to adopt the £70 price point. Without a like-for-like competitor in Xbox (I'd say Nintendo is more niche) you have to wonder how much greed Sony could exert.
