Paying £1k for underbaked drivers, poor ray tracing, no DLSS 3? No thanks

Man I hate it when my AMD graphic cards don't support dlss

AMD has not announced anything, that was a leak and might or might not ever get released.

Very tempting but I still feel needs to be 800

    No, You need Crossfire.

Say what you like about current graphics card prices, this is a high tier AIB for below the reference MSRP and it didn't release that long ago, so it's a deal for anyone that wants this card.

When your graphics card has more RAM than your system

    Heated.

Not enough VRAM gonna be obsolete and short of VRAM soon. (edited)

Add 'Don't buy, this will be 400£ by the end of June because of (insert some reason based on rumours)'

GPU threads are most entertaining. (edited)

Use to upgrade my gpu every 2 years or so now well I don't bother the prices are way too high
    jungleboy123's avatar
yeah...... now the electricity prices and PSU needed to run these things too.

Bargain. Why is this not hot. This is called sarcasm for the unanoited. No hard feelings against the poster but it's a terrible price and not a deal.
    t1redmonkey's avatar
to be fair to the poster, the XTX has generally been 4 figures since release, so under £1k is an improvement. having said that, am i ever gonna pay £1k for any graphics card? no chance

I would get the 6000 series for around 500 the price of the new cards are too expensive unless you get a 4090 not really worth spending that sort of money 💰
    hcc27's avatar
Agree, feel the 6700XT with 12GB is the sweet price/ performance point. Anything above and you're paying through the nose for incremental gains. (edited)

Ouch being old now I can say back in the day this would have been £400. Graphics cards are a journey of disappointment, they will never run the best games as well as you want them too. Just set the setting a little lower and if it's a good game you won't notice.

I've sold my higher tier rtx and just have a 3050 at the moment, im still able to game on my 4k monitor ok.
  16. alan.stevens's avatar
Alternatively with the 7950XTX out soon the RTX4080 is down to £1100 if your thinking of buying at this price.
    RedRain's avatar
Where is this soon not seen any announcements
  17. boboxxb's avatar
    Good price but noisy fans
    ITFC1989's avatar
Unless running rage mode, I find the card to be very cool and very quiet. When the fans ramp up to 3000rpm they are a little audible yes But running circa 3000mhz at high 40's on the gpu (60/70 hotspot) is pretty great thermals!
  18. boboxxb's avatar
My pc is on the desk, maybe this is the reason why I don't like the noise. Got another brand running at same rpm but making far less noisy than xfx.
