    This is a beautiful handset but they screwed up by putting a Samsung made 8 Gen 1 processor in it which is only marginally better than the 4 year old snapdragon 855 for power to performance. While the 8 Gen 1 has a much higher top end, if it's flat out the chip will be drawing about 10W in a device with no active cooling and only 4500mah battery, that's why it overheats and has much lower battery life than it should. In comparison an 8 Gen 2 made by tsmc at 6 watts is out performing the 8 Gen 1 by about double. Highest score on a benchmarking tool tells you very little because your phones processor only runs flat out for less than 1% of the time the rest of the time it's middling or idling so you want one that scores higher in the low to mid range while using as little power as possible, the 8 Gen 1 isnt it.

    had they held off for 6 months and put the 8 + Gen 1 in this which is made by tsmc then I reckon it would have been a best seller even with a curved screen (edited)
