Gaming PC for VR - Advice Please

Hi @Sarden84

I've been following your very knowledgeable threads and I'm hoping that you could give me some advice for a new gaming computer for my son. He mainly uses it for VR gaming with a Quest 2 headset. Ideally, I want to future proof it for a few years. He'll also be using it with a 34" WQHD monitor.

I've looked at the below specs, but I'm not sure what the best combo is, for VR. I appreciate the two Palicomp specs are quite similar (different CPUs). The first Palicomp spec is giving a better CPU and a slightly lower price.

I don't have much component detail on the Stormforce computer, but it is a bit closer to the £1500 - £1600 budget that I had in mind.

Any advice that you give me with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for you help with this.

For gaming the 7800x3d should be the king for a long time.

Check out the review on hardware unboxed on YouTube or techspot on the internet (same thing)

    Will have a comparison table.

7800X3D id add a water cooler though if possible

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the cooler master 212 can handle the 7800X3D.

As Mark_Hickman said, I’ll upgrade the cooler
