LG OLED65C34LA 65 - price matched to John Lewis plus 50% off soundbar

I recently popped into the local Currys store in Birmingham where they price matched the LG OLED65C34LA 65 to what John Lewis were selling it for £1499 but they also added in a 50% discount code to reduce the LG USC9S 3.1.3 Wireless Sound Bar from £799 to £399.50. total paid for TV and soundbar was: £1918.50.
Advised that codes can be applied in store (promotions being run across stores) whereas at John Lewis it was either £200 off the TV or 50% (£400) from the soundbar, both could not be applied.
Like they say if you don't ask you don't get.
