£100 for a phone for parents

So mum sat on her phone and broke it and she needs a new phone - she only uses it to call me!! but wants another smartphone like she had before which was some old Motorola.

So what's the best phone out there for an older person bearing in mind it has a nice simple UI and not a billion customisations.

Parents these days, want want want.

Anyway, lots of budget chinese phones can be found for this price. Or something more familiar like a Samsung Galaxy a14?

If it's just for calls you really can't beat Doro for ease of use.

    Seems like a fair trade.

There are so many Motorola phones posted regularly in deals, usually under £100

Just buy the same model she had before - if necessary a refurb. Whatever you buy I would put money on the possibility she will break the replacement.

Not sure if the option is still there but samsung used to have a basic function mode in settings somewhere that just put the main icons needed for calls and messages on one home page with bigger icons, might be useful (edited)

If she really does only use it to call you then a Nokia dumb phone would be better - only have to charge it once or only twice a week, simpler to use.
