Sunny Honey Home: The New Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Flavour Is Launching Next Week

Hello everybody,

I just read about this and I thought it was a cool thing to share in case you didn't know about it.

Ben & Jerry's is launching a new flavour of ice-cream next week, called Sunny Honey Home.

They've created Sunny Honey Home in collaboration with eight entrepreneurs from refugee backgrounds and allies from The Entrepreneur Refugee Network (TERN), and proceeds from the new flavour will fund refugee led startup businesses. (More info HERE)

The ice cream will bring flavours inspiration from Morocco, Afghanistan, and Syria with a base of creamy lemon alongside honey caramel swirls and lemony cookies and the tubs will be available exclusively from the 19th of June in Co Op for £5.50 per tub.

Directly from the brand: "
Right now, more than 80 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced from their homes — more than at any point in history. People are fleeing the effects of climate change, poverty, violence, and war. We recognise that people who are refugees are often some of the most entrepreneurial, and that entrepreneurship can help people rebuild their lives".

Ben and Jerry's has already a history of working with TERN as back in 2017, they teamed up to create the UP Collective, a training programme for people with refugee backgrounds that runs annually. (*more info here onup-collective.com)

Hopefully this drop will be well received and considering that all the makers that worked on this project are UP collective graduates it is a tangible proof of how important these programs are and how much support they need to stay alive.
