Correct me if I'm wrong but you're the only one to have a post deleted, not any of us "nasty meat eaters" (flirt)

scunny

How about this for a prediction? You will never see a veggie thread on here without meat eaters having their usual digs and un-helpful comments. . Feel free to show one if it ever happens! Hell will freeze over first though.

scunny

A Veggie on a veggie deal post! Whatever next?

smudge92

Whenever they have posted on my posts its never been good, Thought it was just me.

nougat

Being a farmer. I always skip these deals but seeing @sam_of_london thinks it is rubbish I might give it a try as I disagree with almost everything she writes.

How much is the wine worth?

Gouyave_man

In my local Iceland, it’s 3 Dr Ortker pizzas for £5... no their deals

teddyedward1

It’s a good deal in anybody’s book. If we buy the cheapo pizzas we always bulk them up with cheeses, salami, etc, or something else that we like. I know you can spend ridiculous amounts on pizzas but they’re not personalised to your taste unless freshly made.

brokenbiscuits

You could, but she'd probably prefer flowers or chocolates 😜

Forbez

With Minimum Alcohol Pricing in Scotland the bottle of wine on its own will almost cost you that by law so seems like a good deal to me. As for the British v English wine comment your correct that they are different due to the concentrated grape juice from Spain, however, the fact that English wine is a lot better due to grapes being grown in England is a personal opinion that doesn't hold much weight in the world of wines. England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland are not exactly revered for their fine wines, whereas France, Italy, Spain, USA etc etc are. Therefore it's most likely the fact that they are using grapes instead of concentrated juice that makes it more expensive, not the fact it's English grapes. I admire the patriotism though.

IWANTBLUE

Just. A heads up for those that have a Farm Foods Store local to them... Their 3 x 24 packs of 330ml Pepsi / Pepsi max / diet Pepsi / fanta orange zero/light or whatever, orange tango / fanta Lemon / sprite........... Oh ffs.I didn't see McHotpoons post till half way through.....what he said lol......

ipsumata

Tesco matched this price on their Coke Zero and Diet Coke if you prefer that. 24 cans for £6.50, not much saving, just down from £8 apparently. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/281926402 https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/273824391

McHotpoon

Farm foods you can mix and match lots of 24 cases on 3 for £18 (6.50 each). Lilt, tango, fanta, fanta twist, fanta lemon, diet pepsi, pespsi max, vimto, vimto remix, vimto zero, seven up and sprite. Cokes are 3 for £20 but full fat is 18 pack not 24 because of sugar tax.

Wirralbargains77

Think farm foods do deals on cases of cans of pop. Not sure what pop or the price as I've just not long woke up 😴

hopper84

Beat me to it! Also note the £2.50 off £25 (or £5 off £50) vouchers easy to achieve from this launch spend so further savings to be had if you need a few other bits. Please also note £6.50 for 24 Pepsi max is the standard price if you only buy one case so the Iceland offer is barely an offer. Farmfoods also does 48 x 500ml Pepsi max bottles for £20 which is also very good (again even better if you can use a voucher). The vouchers I refer to are regularly posted through doors of households in the area. They go through phases of also being posted online though. Currently some are available till the end of October if you Google "£5 off £50 farm foods".

tried these they are disgusting

turnandshoot

They are just 8% chicken padded rounds of food. Stay clear

Pricklerickle

i enjoy many food and eat crappy food with the rest and will enjoy it, but i tried this chicken once or twice, and it just so bland and boring, and i am not being picky cause i enjoy the pound ready meals but if it just has no taste

DealJourno

Does SFC stand for 'scrapings from chicken'? This is the most disgusting low grade product I think I've ever had the misfortune to buy. Cold!

M1LFHunter

SFC, reminds me of a well known fried chicken brand, with several restaurants around the UK, but I just can't think what.

I didn't say you did say I made any claim about health benefits

wadeywilson1

I didn't say you did make any claim about health benefits?

Master.G

I said it was odd because it's two main uses are to prevent water freezing and it's in a frozen product. I made no claim re it's health benefits.

maddogb

it's also in some tinned foods/veg usually described as a "firming agent" I'm assuming it is to stop the foods absorbing too much water so as to keep their shape etc.

Would you not be able to boil them for a while or microwave them before cutting? Might make it a lot easier as I know when I make wedges they're hard as a rock like you say. I'm on a health kick at the moment and sweet potato is an every day thing for me lol

The UK has a long and proud history of slavery, so it is possible some people here are on shift patterns of 24 hours lol Good price for this deal, but not something I would go for myself.

DealJourno

Not to forget the UK is one of the worst developed countries to work in. The attitude here is family last, company profits first hence why I can't wait to ditch the place and go somewhere more civilised.

Caveman2014

Top comment here. Well done

will.duddle

Thanks OP. My wife and I's plan for these deals normally goes like this: Day 1: Half pizza each loaded with frozen veg e.g. sweetcorn, sliced peppers, mushroom and onion. As there's some ham in the fridge from sandwiches that will go on too. Half of one of the garlic breads each as a side. Day 2: Half of the chicken popstars each and around a quarter/third of the wedges each. Day 3: Home made bolognaise with the half of the other garlic bread each. Rest of the wedges eaten with another meal and the ice lollies whenever. TOP TIP: if you bank with Halifax check your Cashback Extras online. I almost always have one for 10% off at Co-op which just needs clicking to activate.
