Do you know where they selling it....I tried searching in Asda and Tesco.. But it's not there

For info, Quorn now has a Vegan range of products, where the key ingredient Mycoprotein has potato extract added to it, instead of egg white for binding.

Do they taste anything like the Burgerking bean burger ?

Aldi have garlic free ones!

Don’t try those lentil burgers Absolutely rubbish If anyone likes vegetarian burgers the ones from iceland in a green packet are absolutely awesome.

Pretty good imo. Haven't tried the Indian style one.

I'm hoping that there won't be enough to taste. I hate garlic too.

I didn't say you did say I made any claim about health benefits

I didn't say you did make any claim about health benefits?

I said it was odd because it's two main uses are to prevent water freezing and it's in a frozen product. I made no claim re it's health benefits.

it's also in some tinned foods/veg usually described as a "firming agent" I'm assuming it is to stop the foods absorbing too much water so as to keep their shape etc.

Let me know how they turn out, I'll be trying that method myself :{

Genius idea mate, thank you!

Would you not be able to boil them for a while or microwave them before cutting? Might make it a lot easier as I know when I make wedges they're hard as a rock like you say. I'm on a health kick at the moment and sweet potato is an every day thing for me lol

Aldi frozen sweet potato wedges are lush! 🍠😋

I have a delonghi multifry and LOVE it, sweet potato fries are just great in it, it's just a shame sweet potato is so tough to cut up as I have dodgy wrists too! (I think I'm falling apart (shock) )

maybe thats why I used to roll my ice-cream in the soil when I was a nipper (ninja)

Your not used to sea fish then & prefer the muddy taste of fresh water fish. It's ruined your taste buds all that mud.

I live by a river and it tasted like a walk along the prom (shock)

I bought them & they were delicious. You must be a fussy eater.

bought the plaice fillets and they were the most disgusting thing ive ever eaten, spat it out and threw it away and im by no means a fussy eater. (ninja)

The UK has a long and proud history of slavery, so it is possible some people here are on shift patterns of 24 hours lol Good price for this deal, but not something I would go for myself.

Not to forget the UK is one of the worst developed countries to work in. The attitude here is family last, company profits first hence why I can't wait to ditch the place and go somewhere more civilised.

Top comment here. Well done

Thanks OP. My wife and I's plan for these deals normally goes like this: Day 1: Half pizza each loaded with frozen veg e.g. sweetcorn, sliced peppers, mushroom and onion. As there's some ham in the fridge from sandwiches that will go on too. Half of one of the garlic breads each as a side. Day 2: Half of the chicken popstars each and around a quarter/third of the wedges each. Day 3: Home made bolognaise with the half of the other garlic bread each. Rest of the wedges eaten with another meal and the ice lollies whenever. TOP TIP: if you bank with Halifax check your Cashback Extras online. I almost always have one for 10% off at Co-op which just needs clicking to activate.

12 for £1.50 the pro rata stands when getting an idea on how good the offer is vs the old coop deals. The site is about deals and I stocked up when it was on offer ;) i expect most people here buy when on offer... Kinda the idea At not point have I said it's not cheap if you want it all, but to me it is all pretty poor quality other than a fab and veg and co-op deals are a bit meh IMHO

Agreed - at least Birds Eye feels like real meat

Asda lollies in general better than Sainsbury

Don't get this!!...the chicken is the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth.. disgusting mush

The chips and chicken in this deal are both disgusting. Very low quality products. Onion rings and cirn were ok. First and definitely the last time I go for this deal.

They are not all linked. Some are privately owned

Co-Op weirdly aren't all that co-operative! Some stores accept NUS cards, some don't. Some have these frozen meal deals on, some don't. Ours (a little village store) did a couple then stopped - even the staff didn't know why.

because not all coops belong to the same group and not all stores participate in these offers

Just got this deal, they were completely out of stock of the standard pizzas in my local store, but the deal was still showing around the store and the staff honoured the stuffed crust version in place of the standard pizza. Cannot fault Co-op's service. Thanks for sharing the deal.

Thanks OP..... when I got there everything else was in stock except pizzas.... Not to be outdone I asked the staff and they had more out back.

What are you? a chicken or a wedge?

It's not as if you have to eat it all at once (although you can of course if you want to). My wife and I normally share a pizza for a meal probably with a few of the wedges, the chicken poppers will be shared together for another meal with the remainder of the wedges, the garlic bread will be a few slices each at a time with a plate of bolognaise, and the 4 ice creams will again be shared, meaning we can have dessert/a snack twice each. It's all frozen stuff so it will keep for ages. A fiver for 2 meals for 2 people plus extra sides and snacks is amazing value, thanks OP!
