    Just back up one random wallpaper picture then delete the app, job done, done on a few accounts in the past, don’t think I would want to use Amazon to store photos

    Agreed. Recommendation to anyone wanting to, remember 3-2-1 backup strategy and atleast 1 offsite backup cloud or physical (Speaking from personal experience unfortunately) (edited)

    Same here however there are t&cs on which items you can buy, i.e only Amazon as the seller, no marketplace etc etc. probably the usual ones

    I actually want to move to Amazon Photos but what's stopping me is that I won't be eligible for this kind of offer again. But I'm never eligible anyway so I guess I'll wait.

    Odd thing was when I first uploaded a handful of pics I discovered a batch of photos already in my account that I must have uploaded a few years ago that I'd entirely forgotten about.
