sorted byOnce you try them you won’t go back.
The car feels fresh and smells great.
No condensation at the bottom of the screen in winter.
I use the Mann or Bosch ones.
Dealers don’t even change them when included in a service as is a pig of a job on my car, 30 mins plus job.
I caught Peugeot out on my 2 year service, The air and pollen had not been changed. I marked them before service.
Made them take the filters out to prove they had been changed.
They garage manager was surprised to see my name written on the brand new dirty filters they had fitted.
He disliked the photos I had as proof on my phone (edited)
Really depends on what sort of mileage you do, Service manuals now state a fixed time period or mileage, whichever is first.
I also replace filters every year even though I do around 7000 miles. Parts cost around £45 (not including oil) from Audi and I manage to do replace the old ones in around an hour.
No brainer really and its previntitve maintenance which should hopefully keep cost down in the future
Activated carbon has the adsorption capacity of about 20-25% of it's own weight - emis.vito.be/en/…ion
A few grams of carbon sprayed onto a little piece of filter paper is going to make negligible difference in removing any gaseous impurities from air entering the car cabin - and would be very quickly expired. Activated carbon pollen filters are just a marketing con which in reality will achieve nothing!
buy the premium cabin air filters with carbon filtration you won't regret it
and at this price, change the engine air filter because it's preventative maintenance
Oil & filter, Air filter, Mann FreciousPlus Biofunctional Pollen Filter year one.
Air, oil, fuel, Mann FreciousPlus Biofunctional Pollen Filter and brake fluid change every 2 years.
Only do 2-3k a year.
When I start to do more than 5k a year I will change the oil and filter every 6 months
I like Mann first then Bosch (edited)
+1 got the Original MANN-FILTER Interior Filter FP 26 009 – FreciousPlus biofunctional pollen filter – for PKW
Is really good filter. £10.26 great price!!
Fits newish audi/ golf ect.
Heat!
Bit over the top? The dealers dont even do this.
You must have lots of money.
I asked Peugeot for the price of my Air, oil, fuel, and pollen filters.
Paramedics were call to jump start my heart.
They wanted £60 for an Air filter with Peugeot/ Citroen stamped on it, ( In smaller letters it said made by Mann )
Got 3 Mann ones last night for less than £12.00.
Pollen filters were £45 I think, basic white ones that are rubbish.
Mann FreciousPlus Biofunctional Pollen Filters were £18 and I got some Bosch ones for £13.50.
Main dealers prices are a rip off.

I tend to get the carbon and anti fungal cabin filters. Do fuel, cabin and air every year with a major service.
It is cheap though so why not.
I buy mine from the dealers too as they’re easy enough to fit. I should mention I do 30k a year and depend on my car, although, even if I didn’t for the sake of knowing it’s done and how much the car costs, it does seem like a no brainer to protect your investment in the best way possible, especially as I tend to keep my cars until they’ve done significant mileage
The dealers actually do next of nothing to make their servicing seem more competitive. You’ll get a sheet at the end recommending a load of other things, they typically don’t do more than oil and oil filter.
I think all my filters from VW are £40ish and then I fit them myself, they’re not overly expensive considering the amount of use they have. They are just paper after all. I suppose being a Peugeot it’ll get regular enough inspections from the mechanic over the course of the year
Ive heard that. LOL.
I dont do much milage, only got 13,500 miles on the clock and car will be 5 years old in September.
Only issue was a dud parking sensor, fix under warranty.
In my old job I did 50/60 thousand miles a year and would do a full service every 6 weeks.
Old rover 218/418 diesels.
Air filter oil filter fuel filter, oil 3 wiper blades, front braked pads and a fuel cleaner was just under £30.
Cheap brands but only on the car for 6 weeks.
All of them lasted another 100/150 thousand miles, When purchased the rovers already had 100k to start with. (edited)
Still a good deal obviously if your car's one covered. (edited)
