    I got one of these kits from shark with the new upright hoover I bought. Utterly useless because all the holes near the top of the hose means there's next to no suction at the other end. I'm not sure why they intentionally made it leak suction so much that it's unusable.

    My Dyson has holes at the other end. Presumably it's bad news if you create a seal and they do something to ensure air still flows.

    Used to say to the missus, I'm just off to give the car a wash, and she wouldn't flinch. Now, when I say I'm going out to detail the car she gives me a very puzzled look.

    so many versions of these hoovers i cant tell if it fits ours or not, we have an NZ860UTK
    on sharks site the NZ850 has the same tools as ours so youd think it'd fit, oh the dilema

    My shark has rounded rectangle shape. Which fits nothing but their proprietary shape.

    Add some duck tape around the holes on the hose connector, leaving one or two for cooling. You get MUCH better suction.

    They need to start making vacuum parts universal, how different/better are the extras from machine to machine

    there is normally a silver label on the vacuum, that tells you the model number. Mine is in the middle of the right hand side (from behind)

    I would think that without the small detailing attachments blocking the holes would be ok, but using the smaller attachments would put strain on the components, hence the holes.
