Of late, everytime I price a meal up on JE; it costs at least 20% more than ordering directly from the restaurant themselves. Then add in made up service charges and delivery fees and this 25% discount probably just about matches the direct price. I have pretty much given up on JE.

Ask your bank to initiate a chargeback. If they've taken the money but not delivered the goods you are well within your rights to do so

I've also noticed that food on JE is MORE expensive than the same restaurant on FoodHub, Deliveroo and sometimes UberEats. The delivery charge is also always higher. I will always choose other services first unless the discount is just really good for JE (edited)

Same with UberEats, unless there’s a 30% off code I don’t bother

Oops, all the eligible stores today near me are the worst ones that I wouldn't visit with a discount, oh well...

This is all good but as someone mentioned up there the 25% you save you end up paying in fees anyways and the restaurant I order from already does 10% off collection which works out better as it’s cheaper than what’s advertised on just eat. Plus having to wait an hour for food to come lukewarm

not worth using the uber/j eat now, walked to chippy and got fish and chips for £9 , got back and ordered on j eat from same chippy = £13.80 . i'd rather get my steps up and save money

Great find, just tried it and it works for me. Going to have a bit of takeaway when the footie is on.

Yeah it's just Greggs and Subway mainly. No independent takeaways doing it near me unfortunately

Pretty much none of the restaurants I use can be ordered from directly. Even if they have a website, they just direct you to UberEats/Deliveroo/Just Eat instead.

It's not just the outlets that are to blame as the commission charged by JE and likes on fast food joints is extortionate. Hence the higher prices through JE. (edited)

Yep as said Just Eat are getting greedy now so unless you combine discounts on say cheeky Tuesday it’s not really worth it anymore with the delivery and service charge. Some of my usual prices now have their own ordering system and give 10% off a delivery anyway with no delivery charge or service charge.

How do you activate the 30% off from vouchercloud? When I go to the redeem voucher on the just eat website, I get "voucher or gift card not found"

I've got a choice of 2 from 16 and it's either an Indian from miles away with a £4 del charge or a subway and i dont really call a roll a takeaway.

Only applicable to Subway branches here. I'll pass.
