£100 off Marks and Spencer, Waitrose, Deliveroo or Harvey Nicols with Amex Platinum

But most people if they did want that wouldn't have to change their lifestyles, travel habits or jobs to make that 100 quid for free not cost them nearly 500 quid. The heat system is a pretty good way to filter out the common denominators of things that will be of interest. For things that are niche and specific there are things like camelcamelcamel and other price aggregators and watchers. The system isn't for the purpose of cataloguing every deal, that's not the purpose of this site and others do that, this is a way of sorting and filtering for the benefit of most and it is big enough that there are some broad categories so you can set alerts to see things even if they never get hot.

For goodness sake don’t mention the centurion card offers (horror) (lol)

This is hot. Free £100. Those who voted cold are just plain envious (y)

I have no interest in X boxes, coffee machines, mobile phone contracts so don’t vote on them, and talking of niche I don’t vote on vibrators either ;)

You dont need to use all the benefits for it to make sense. Heres an approx value I put on it.. Worldwide travel insurance for my family - £250 a year Priority pass with unlimited visits, plus guests for my wife and I - £300 a year. Oh, its already break even, not including uber credit (£120), hotel and car rental upgrades (£200?), offers like this and amex travel credit (£200), one fine stay credit (£100 as often as you want), car rental insurance (£100) If you dont travel a lot, this card is not for you. If you do travel (we take maybe 5 trips abroad each year as a family), it pays for itself at least twice over It seems odd to vote this cold as not everyone has the card , xbox and ps4 deals go mental and not everyone has a console. Still, wrong audience perhaps

Great deal. This means I don't have to drive! No need to test my eyes by driving there and back. (y)

Not used Uber Eats before, but from what I can see they will deliver drinks and snacks from the 24 petrol station round the corner to my house. Wow, some people are so lazy. But if it's middle of the night and feel the need for a couple of mars bars, tube of pringles and an extra nightcap bottle of wine then quuite handy. Heat added.

Places like Armstrongs home of the jumbo cod needs to be banned from Uber eats , they do more worse than hide the delivery fees within the price increase they also make you pay for delivery on top of that which is £4 plus £1.50 service charge , you cannot but individual items like you can Instore and they have bumped up the prices compared to instore so your getting done over big time, I avoid all places who do this and think we don’t notice (annoyed) eg Normal instore menu Cod 3.00 Jumbo cod 6.50 Chips regular 1.45 Large chips 3.00 Side 70p-£1 depending on size Uber eats Cod chips & side £7.75 Small chips 2.00 (instore they don’t sell small only regular and large) Also You can’t buy cod separate like you can instore So buying direct Cod fish and side £5.15 Buying through Uber eats Cod fish side , delivery and service charge £13.25 Madness If they say really your paying £5.15 but the rest goes to charity I’d accept that but they cleary exploiting people in this pandemic is inhumane to all the vulnerable elderly people who can’t leave there home I know many people who are in this business of food and they haven’t been hit bad for them to increase prices like this also to note this was the price setup before the pandemic so no excuses

Overpriced... And then you also have to add all of the various fees and expenses and costs UberEats adds to it...

Still overpriced.

The main benefit (under pre-covid times) is the excellent travel insurance cover applies to all cardholders plus their families. However priority pass airport lounge access does not extend to the gold/green supplementary cardholders. They do have access to the statement credit offers as being discussed in this post, although sometimes the very best offers tend to show only on the main platinum and supplementary plat card. You can also request and pay for a second platinum supplementary card but I’m not sure what the additional fee is, from memory in the past it was around the £150pa mark.

On a platinum card you can have one free supplementary platinum which has all the platinum benefits, then 4 Gold or Green cards. Not sure what benefits you get on those gold or green ones.

What is the gold supplementary cards? Thought it was just a platinum card? Any benefits on them?

£5 delivery fee?😳 most of the ones around mine are 99p-£2 Max (:I

10% service fee?! Bog off Uber. You already charge £5 for delivery. Funny how the 10% service fee is charged on the amount pre discount. Honestly nonsense. Much better off using Deliveroo and getting free delivery with Deliveroo plus. No service fee and can give it to the driver instead

Why is this less popular than the 30% offer (horror)

My order was "damaged" by the courier. I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner. He said he's given it to the driver safe and sound. He said some uber delivery personnel report the food as damaged and eat it themselves. Can you imagine? (fierce) I placed a new order. The whole thing arrived 1.5h later from first order time. My wife prepared pancakes in the meantime as everyone was hungary and could not wait any longer. Very bitter experience overall (zombie)

I like to work up a bit of an appetite first. There's nothing worse than ordering and it coming when you're still not hungry. Most takeaways by me take around 30-45mins to come (Dominos can be as little as 15-20). An hour is usually absolute maximum at peak times. So it's no big deal ordering when you're ready to eat. I know it was Saturday night but I've never had one tell me it's going to take 2 hours before.

I don't get why people wait till they are hungry before ordering, just order in advance. My old man owned a takeaway for years and hated when folk complained over waiting times. Always order in advance my man and once you are starving it will be at the door ;)

No takeaways near me :(

Subway Free delivery and 20% off when spending £12.50 or more via deliveroo

Subway. Free delivery and 20% off. After spending £12.50 and over.

I didn’t have it and didn’t understand why as others in my household did. However 2 weeks ago it just appeared in my app, not sure if it’s based on how much you’ve spent with them, the amount of orders and location too. So don’t lose hope it may just appear when you least expect it.

Deliveroo, clinging-on for survival. Won’t be the only deal coming-up from them!

I glaze over whenever I see Subway offers. Doesn't matter what medium they come in, they blag it and fob you off whenever they can

Ah ok, i must not be eligible/selected then as doesn’t show that for me. I’m always ordering via UberEats and in a fairly populated city too ;( oh well, i’ll live lol

Not sure, but it's available in my area, it's possibly account / area specific.

Better to order direct from take aways....usually cheaper and a lot offer free delivery over a tenner

A bit. Depends on where you order from and when that happens it's because of fees the restaurant has. Subway prices are the same for me on Uber Eats - maybe because it's in a gas station. For example veggie delite 6" sub £3.49 in-store and on Uber, nachos £2.79 in-store and on Uber etc

Do you guys see the prices listed on Uber Eats as being a bit jacked up than in store?

Completely agree. It is getting ridiculous. Made a £30 order yesterday to see a £3 service charge added as well as a £1.99 delivery fee as well as paying £4 more for the platter than I would have in the restaurant!

Yep. I wouldn't order from Jungle Grill due to personal dietary requirements (not specifically saying what the diet is though as it's likely to cause drama). No bad hygiene etc otherwise I wouldn't post. I'm not eligible for the 50PRET code

Uber Eats have been sending out 50% emails to me too, from 1 local restaurant in the area. 50[RESTAURANTNAME] is the code. 50PRET was posted earlier as well. They are all account specific codes I believe.

Same as deliveroo... suddenly become stupidly expensive. Justeat can be ok but the real savvy ditch the middle man and order direct unless there’s a decent code doing the rounds (50% off can make it worthwhile)

Wow. So the prices were already 30 percent more than using just eat or ordering direct ... The delivery charges are higher too .... And then as of yesterday .... another 10% service fee? I have a £10 off voucher. Even with the voucher it’s cheaper to use justeat for the order I have in my basket (not Pret) - go figure.

I had a code for 30% off convenience 30CONV

It's open near me but I'm not eligible unfortunately 😔

For me it's worth it just to get a decent coffee for the first time in months! The service fee Uber Eats has added in general is shocking though (just add 10% to the price of the food if you want to do it).
