Neon Pink Take Away Juice Cup £1.49 (was £6.99) @WH Smith - Free C+C

Enjoy your favourite drink from this large take away style drinks cup. Finished in a funky neon pink plastic, with screw top lid and straw.
RowanDDR

I see what you mean but if you've ever tried cleaning a straw, its not easy, they get dirty inside and get chucked pretty quickly.

col11

I see what your saying but is the idea not to use this over and over again instead of throwing loads of disposable one's away, or is 1 plastic straw worse than loads of Mcdonald type cups n straws? Not been funny just wondering

RowanDDR

Plastic straws? If you hate the planet, buy this.

@19DembaBa19 it's only the delivery that is free, each restaurant will have it's own minimum spend requirement.

Is the food free as well and is their a limit on how much you should spend to get free food with free delivery

Mary_Mary

Deliveroo are really rubbish in my area - literally a postcode 1 minute away you get all the decent restuarants from town, but i get the 4 crap ones offered. Kind of sucks for me, but heat added as it benefits others!

I went into Waitrose today and to be honest didn't find the deal very good. The 3 sides were very limited mainly rice and tiny savoury items. Some of the sides I would of wanted didn't have the sides stickers so assume they weren't included. By the looks of it the normal price would be about £14 maximum for 2 main items and 3 sides. I tend to like to do my own rice which is far cheaper and couldn't find any decent side dishes apart from that so left it. Wasn't impressed with the selection of mains either. I just didn't want to pay effectively £2 for 3 of the crappy little side dishes. In fairness they could have been missing a few side options but every section seemed to be filled by an item so not sure about this. I think the till operator almost applauded me as my items came to £30.01 after the paper, coffee and other mywaitrose items were discounted which was spot on for my £6 off £30 voucher. She must of thought I was a maths genius or something as had many small reduced items and other odd price items.

edinburgher

None of these supermarket offerings are what could be called ‘authentic’ but the WItrose one is far better than the M@S range in my opinion

Mars80

I have taken the chinese meal "taste of the east" for £6 in Waitrose: you choose the noodles, the sauce, the vegetable's packet and meat or fish. The steak stir fry strips with black bean sauce were amazing.

bonzobanana

I've currently got £6 off £30 vouchers and I have to allow for the paper, coffee and anything else being deducted so the final price is over £30 to use them.

I'm general M&S need to be doing all they can to attract customers, with several shops closing down including ones in cities like Durham it must be hard times for them. Their food is only thing I buy in there, seems to be more and more people becoming vegan too, I hear more becoming vegan than vegetarian so they should be doing better options.

JamesSmith

Just been to Waitrose.. they've changed it.. "only stickered items" but virtually NOTHING was stickered. The two veggie curries (the decent quality kofta balls and the poor quality veg masala) weren't involved (they were previously.. tried scanning wasn't just missing labels) and no chinese veggie option... Poor show..

Matthew774

Waitrose deal is 2 mains and 3 sides for all people

JamesSmith

M&S are always lousy for vegetarians when it comes to these sorts of deals. They seem behind the times, whilst even Tesco are offering a vegan range. Some of their vegetarian ready meals are really unhealthy too, 15g saturated fat in the Mushroom Pappardelle. I rarely shop their now. It's even more of a joke as there are plenty of authentic Chinese and Indian vegetarian dishes they could have gone with, but apparently they want to reduce sales.

milady

I had the aubergine on its own, not as a part of the deal, today. I didn't go for the deal because the aubergine was a tray divided in two with one half rice and one half aubergine, the other sides were rice or noodles so if I'd gone for the offer I would have had two halves of a dish, then loads of rice or noodles! To get value for money the vegetarians should have a full dish, not half a dish padded out with half a tray of,low-quality rice. All the other mains for meat-eaters are full dishes. Re: the aubergine. It is an attempt at 'yu xiang qie zi', I think they could have got closer to the original dish as most people seem to like it. I would also pad it out with tofu strips (not authentic), and the aubergine pieces are too large, it should be strips not massive hunks. I'm really disappointed in M&S veggie options recently, I think they could do mixed vegetables fried noodles (noodles with greens, garlic etc.) as a side, proper veggie dumplings (not edamame), and a full dish of 'yu xiang qie zi', maybe with extra tofu strips and/or green peppers. Just dreaming here! But it's not difficult. Anyway, thanks to the OP as this is good if you can take full advantage. Sorry to hijack your thread for a veggie-rant. I think the things I suggested would be popular with meat-eaters too, though.

It's always a gamble with Quidco / TopCashBack as to whether you will see the money...even after it has been tracked for many weeks / months. But. Ordered through Quidco for a Hungryhouse delivery...due in 27 minutes now...lets hope the "tracked £10 cashback" comes in as quickly :p

julieallen

I have done roughly the same transactions on TCB and Quidco (100's on each) Failure rate on Quidco is over 300% more than TCB When I have disputed them TCB have resolved more than Quidco (despite being many less disputed) and faster Quidco decline their own bonuses for no reason, when they are clearly legitimate, have a message under them saying you can't dispute it, when you can, and the quidco rep refused to comment on it. Quico support lie about having the payment, even when you have it in writing that they were paid many months previously. Guess who I use 90% of the time now.

A tad unfair...TCB (Top Cash Back) don't pay out either...but, strangely, both Quidco and TCB DO pay out on small amounts...it's only the BIG AMOUNTS (over £10 cashback) that they decline and presumably POCKET THEMSELVES (mad) (mad) (mad)

PizzaTheHutt.

People use regular mild steel not stainless as it has better heat conductivity or something. You just season it extremely lightly with oil and put it in the oven. It forms a coating that will stop it rusting and act as a non stick coating. The problem with this type of steel, is they can be very grubby. I bought mine online from https://steelpartsuk.com/ which is probably more expensive . I had mine cut to a circle, 3/8" up to 400mm (under 16") I think it was £45 delivered not cheap! https://steelpartsuk.com/products/10mm-mild-steel-disc-customized Cutting to size is included in the cost. I went for 380mm because my oven is a range oven with 2 separate smaller width ovens. They cleaned it up for me, sanded off any mill scale (though harmless I believe) it was taken down to he bare metal which means it has no protection so can rust. So as soon I got it, I seasoned it LIGHTLY with vegetable oil. It wasn't cheap but I gave up trying to find what I wanted elsehwere. First I tried a blacksmith, which was nearly as expensive because I wanted it to cut to a certain size and they don't have high tech machinery it cost a lot.

jazzuk777

BBQ Sauce on a pizza, ugh no! Their tomato sauce is the best on shop pizzas though :)

leedsfan83

And yes the 4 cheese variant of this pizza is the way to go! more cheese to go with half a punnet of butter fried mushrooms! Hmmmmmm!!

leedsfan83

PizzaTheHuttWhat steel do you use? I have 2x 13" traditional stones and use one for the pizza and one above the pizza which helps compensate for the fact i am using a regular fan oven. After thinking about a steel for getting more heat under the base i tried using one stone placed on top of the other which gave be a slightly better charring, but not as much as i see folks get using steel. I only ask as getting a piece of stainless steel cut to size seems bloody expensive! I have tried calling a few places for quotes! :o Any recomendations would be good. Cheers
