sorted byI think these offers generally only pop up if you've not subscribed for quite a while.. a few months at least.. i'd say the new PS+ coming this month could be making MS nervous.. hence the timing of the extra months
Purchase 3 lots of 12 months Gold (around £36 each on cd keys) and then add them to your Microsoft account. After that, just purchase 1 month of GamePass and it upgrades your Gold to 36 months of GamePass

Each time you redeem, it says it'll give you an extra month if you turn on automatic billing. I then disabled the automatic billing after each redemption.
I then upgraded to Game Pass Ultimate for £10.99.
Total amount for 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate:
£65 + £10.99

Same. MS/Xbox site can be screwy and show incorrect prices until you try to checkout.

By 3 × 12 months of xbox live gold, then convert that into 3 years of gamepass ultimate for £1 or £10.99.
12 months of xbox live gold can be had on cdkeys for around £30 so you can get 3 years of GPU for about £100

I pay £1 then it charges me next month £10.99? This is even if i get 2 months free after? Or do i pay £1 for 3 months then cancel after to not pay £10.99.
I would advise to use paypal, and then go straight on your paypal after subscribing and removing Microsoft from automatic payments.
It doesn't seem to matter how many times I pause or cancel automatic billing on the Microsoft website, it magically turns itself back on. Sony use the same trick and its scummy af.

I had used the £1 GPU offer a long time back too so it does recur for peeps. (edited)
I had previously used a three month £1 GPU offer years ago.
Oh and I went through Topcashback so may get a cheeky pay out for that.
I didn't get an extra month when I used gold and tried turning on recurring billing but no luck but after upgrading to GPU I am all good up-to 07th July 2023.
Quite my week as I had £7 odd in Microsoft Credit and just yesterday I was given £4 'Xbox Rewards deposit' which I have no clue about or why but not complaining. I didn't have to pay anything at all to upgrade.
