Am I correct to assume that the circular saw is better for cutting wooden board compared to a jigsaw?

You get a straighter cut line with circular saw. Especially if you need a nice edge for shelving or similar. Of course jigsaws and their sawing bits are cheaper (edited)

Does it come with the blade or do we have to purchase it separately? Thanks

Had this a few years. Only used it a handful of times and the other week the bolt holding the blade in place sheered whilst cutting. Totally useless now as the bolt is stuck inside.

Great for very light jobs. Won't cut hard or thick wood. Had to buy a corded.
