I've just upgraded after 3 years and the new 8X with lidar is a consiferable improvement but more expensive.. But these more basic ones are excellent and durable and well worth the money.

We literally haven't used our cordless Dyson once since we purchased this at the start of the year. Every morning we set it off and it does a great job getting rid of daily fluff etc.
