Cold as this website do not pay tax in uk, no warranty and security risk as uk govt and rules have no control on it. If god forbid product has any technical issue which may pose safety risk there is no obligation for company to let uk customers know about
Cold, not a dyson
If comes from abroad might have to pay customs/tax
I've currently got a Vax Blade 32v which I'm pleased with. Wondering if this is a worthwhile alternative for my second place...?
Where is 'that' guy?
That sounds quite odd. James Dyson suggested that the battery in the V10 would be a around 80pct capacity after 15 years of typical daily use. Seems like you’ve been quite unlucky. Hope you get it sorted soon.
It'll need refurbishing again after a few months. Batteries are rubbish. After 6 months we got less than 30 seconds on full power on a full charge on a brand new £500 one. Reminds me I must attempt the phone call to Dyson again to get it replaced.
Thanks for posting; we have added this to the Highlights section (y)
Yes this has three power modes. I use between lot and medium 90% of the time. High only now and again but it is so strong on high that it can pull the material up into itself if it's a loose meterial.
You do realise the charge time is 2 hours right, charging it for 2 days doesnt increase the amount of time you can use it (lol) if you need a longer use turn it down to a lower power mode, on low it goes for about an hour
Went to my Tesco earlier and it was selling at the original price, i.e. ~£135.
Remember, we don't want to be putting any undue stress on the a&e depts in these times... (y)
I would be careful, I heard that Hetty sucks around
Is this OK for a 47 year old man living alone who is single?
Take it back
If you have carpet you’re better off with Xiaomi Mija 1C for around or less than this price from Aliexpress. Much much better section for carpets
Same here. We have a 30C and it does well on carpet and hard floor. The carpet is all quite short pile, not sure it would cope on carpet with long filaments
On carpet, I think this vac would struggle
Does this one follow any sort of intelligent grid pattern or just clean until it bumps into something then turn around and repeat?
I've got a dark green carpet and it's fine. Funnily enough if the sun is shining on the carpet area, the robot vac's sensors don't work well. Luckily it's not sunny in all areas of the carpet and obs the sunshine isn't permanent.
CRAWL BACK UNDER YOUR STONE.
Nope, just spotting them!
Well you are probably an expert on posting pointless comments.

3rd party seller. I see Amazon had reduced the price to this before they ran out of stock. If you've owned a Dyson and the equivalent Shark please comment on pros/cons?
Not quite sure to be honest, I didn't know there was different versions. This is my model number WV200UKCO
I mean, it's no Dyson, is it
No, the single battery version, £99 at John Lewis for the single battery version at the moment and also Amazon (deal on here), cant imagine who would pay £30 for an extra battery, mind you they only last for a few minutes so maybe you do need one.
For the twin/ duo battery version?
usatoday.com/story/tech/reviewedcom/2019/10/17/best-cordless-vacuums-2019-dyson-lg-tineco-and-more/3996891002/ Plenty of reviews out there comparing this particular model with the Dyson V10/V11. Almost all agree that the Dyson has the better performance; Dyson V11 a better option imo. However heat from me as it does seem a good price for what is still a good machine.
Has been hard but eventually I found the link, the price is like John Lewis £99.99 and also the Amazon version has 2 years guarantee if you register the product.
Same price, direct from manufacturer, 2 year warranty and I would imagine dealing direct with the manufacturer should anything go wrong would be easier than having to go through a 3rd party.
Better off getting direct from Shark
Thanks, I think I'll hold out for a v7 (y)
Standard price for this - same at Currys, AO, Amazon.co.uk. But good deal if you get the cashback...
My apologies , was confusing this with the cordless stick model , you’re correct mate !
The battery is non replaceable on these, it's hidden away inside.
I've been impressed with our Athlet (18V), so far provided us with 4.5 years of daily use though had to replace the battery(recently).
Beware --- if you change the unit to a hand held which involves dismantling the unit (all the joints are very tight) then when the guarantee runs out(1yr, yes I know John Lewis guarantee is longer) the unit stops working , its something to do with the contacts in the handle. Poor design. But while its working its the best battery vacuum I've ever bought. Just do a internet search for Bosch Athlet fault
I always hoover before drilling..... things <3
Or 3.44 x 1kg bags of feathers.
The fluffy head is for hard floors so shouldn’t get too many hairs unless you have spaniels. It’s not suitable for carpets. As with any powered motorhead you have to remove the bar every 2 weeks or so and remove the hair to prevent it from jamming the mechanism. I have to do this on my Henry airobrush (although as it doesn’t come to bits like the dyson have to get scissors) and is no better than my v6 animal in this respect.
Weighs about the same as three and a half bags of sugar
Important to note the JV83 is its much heavier, over double the weight 3.44 kg compared to Dreame V9 or V10 at 1.5kg This is due to the 7 x 2500 mAh batteries which makes this a beast. Might be good for some, but people have complained about the weight.
Personally, I won't buy Dyson again can not speak for the v11 but have the fluffy. Hairs get jammed inside the motor stopping it from moving useless vacuum cleaner do not even have pets it's just human hair.
I will do, thanks
Yeah the motor burned out.
Look out for their open-box offers
What went wrong with it? I’ve fixed mine a couple of times now, there’s not much to go wrong with them that costs more than a few quid, unless the motor burns out.
I bought this yesterday from Amazon, I missed the eBay offer, but I cannot recommend this enough, really light, worked really well. It took me no time at all to do my lounge, much quicker and easier than getting out the upright, great buy
Cheap Chinese poor quality rubbish - please avoid and buy European manufactred products.
Thanks, just ordered from eBay(y)
My uncle has one similar and has been going for a couple of years, maybe he's been lucky but he won't be throwing it in the bin anyway, it will go to the local recycling centre.
Get a Henry. For under £100 you'll have a hoover that will last years.
So I got the receipt after buying the hoover then walked to customer service asked for refund then bought it with 20 off. Winner. Thanks
Yeah. I got the same coupon with my receipt too, with the same code etc.
What they actually scanned a picture of the coupon?
Gambled and got the last one at Tesco Extra Orpington. (y) A little tip: don’t make the same rookie mistake I made and go to the main checkout. They insisted on seeing the receipt with the coupon but thankfully the cashier took pity on me. Make sure you go to the self checkout to use the barcode listed above.
Any way of checking stock before travelling, queueing and likely being disappointed? Looking for some near SE London
How can you complaint if they deliver from china instead of spain ?
Got this deal few days ago https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xiaomi-mi-robot-vacuum-1c-global-version-robotic-vacuum-cleaner-for-16495-using-coupon-at-aliexpress-deals-gshopper-lifestyle-store-3466787 Arrived in 7 days (yesterday night) and I have to say it is really good. This is my first robot vacuum cleaner. I was thinking of buying a cheap one too to test but because of the price, company and a user friendly app decided to go with the above deal. My personal thought is that, yes the price is attractive but how reliable is the product? Is it easy to find spare parts? How about the supporting app or information (reviews) to overcome if there is a problem. Therefore, rather than investing on an unknown brand it is better to invest something reliable. Also there are many suppliers selling additional parts. App makes your work super easy. Anyway I'm not voting either way.
I bet this is shocking and will break in under a year; another piece of junk that will end up in the bin/landfill before you know it.
I agree, I had the Eureka i300 which looks very similar to this. After six months of use one of the wheels broke, I was unable to find any spares and after contacting Amazon for advice they refunded me. Great price though, I think I paid £85 and it was great until the wheel stopped turning.
Thanks for your first deal @Rosie_Hales Looks like this is the same price at a few retailers which might account for the cold votes but its the best price right now so hot from me :)
It really does look like it (lol)
I thought the picture was a block of knives.
Voted hot. Good price for the product!
was a deal a few months back. expired now
I really feel bad about buying or even posting a deal that is one way or another linked to China... Not getting emotional, but How can we so irresponsible to post them here in first place and then voting hot.... First COVID-19, now Hongkong ....may be one day United Kingdom :D :D ... World is Changing
I've got a chocolate Labrador that's moulting like mad, within 3 mins the canister was full and needed emptying and that was after leaving it a day without hoovering. Look at the size of the dust canister, they are not suitable for pets even though they come with a pet attachment. And that's one dog, some people have more than one. Great Hoover on carpets, pretty poor on hard floors and if you have a dog that sheds like ours you'll be forever emptying the thing
Every 3 mins? Does chewbacca live in your house or are vacuuming chernobyl? Come on dont be one of those silly little people that put ridiculous things, think about what you say before you type. You must have a dirty house.
bought the red version which is maybe the pet version? 2 years ago and its been great since. much better that the cordless Dyson it replaced, especially for hard floors.
Ignore this person my friend, lockdown has impregnated their brains it seems. They are a Dyson fan boy, pure and simple. They are wrong with many of their facts too, so just ignore.
If I were saying these things, it would be my mouth that was the biggest in the country. I’m just laughing at your comments, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
The engine broke. I cleaned that machine out after every use. The filters, pipes etc. Shark refunded me, however, I had so much hassle with it, I bought a Gtech and only used this one for the corners and skirting boards, then after a short time, engine failure. That was all they said. I had the option between refund or new same shark. I bought a different make
Why did it stop working? Have you anything to resolve it?
After having this model for 4 months, it stopped working. It is really, really better to use a dustpan and brush.
