Can’t find the 6 year guarantee could you please tell me where to find it cheers

How’d you get to do a review and get one free?

I got one of these (actually the truepet variant with the extra attachment) for £175 on an AO deal a month or so ago. It's really good. Absolutely destroys my previous Dyson DC24 in terms of suction power (though to be fair that was a few years old, I'm sure a newer Dyson would be closer). Still, it's really got power - literally sucked two small pieces out of our parque floor (annoying, but impressive nonetheless!). Not sure I would pay an extra £40 for the pet attachment - it's really just a small head with a suction-driven brush - though saying that it's much better than the Dyson version of the same attachment, and is very handy for the stairs. The one thing I would say is that it feels a bit heavier/harder work to use than the Dyson, which I think is actually mostly because it is sucking to the floor so effectively, so not a negative really, but maybe not the right hoover for grandma. Great item though.

I find Miele to be very good and pretty hardy as well..

You won't regret buying this and 6 years guarantee as well.

Just trying to equip my fellow HUKDealers with the facts before they splash out. Offers are great, but not when it's for a product that has foibles.

Great product bagged one last time on offer much better than noisy old dyson.

Genericised trademark.

Blimey!! That must be the longest ever post on HUKD. Give the man/lady a prize (y)

I'm currently using my parents Vax 2 in 1 which they purchased back in 2002 and it's still going strong albeit a bit noisy compared to the new ones. My parents Henry is still going strong after 9 years. All it needed was a replacement switch which cost £8 and that took me 10 minutes to replace. When the Vax dies I'll probably opt for a Henry. Go for the Henry with the Turbo brush, there's a good reason why most office cleaning teams tend to use them.

It is cheaper to buy a battery if you want to charge one at a time, otherwise the freedom dual battery charger with a spare is £99

Costco had the same last week for 278 itll come back around

Good point, Amazon have the battery packs for £69. However, you'll still need to purchase a twin battery dock to charge both batteries simultaneously otherwise the convenience factor of having two batteries is lost somewhat

Isn't it cheaper to buy the single battery model for £100 cheaper then just buy an extra battery?

Black Friday may possibly bring a more appealing offer on these? The 7 x £49.99 installments is quite handy though...

One going since 20 years is at work, in last 13 years I have been married we had Hoover, philips, Electrolux, Argos own brand etc and they all packed up for one reason or other, 6 years ago I decided to buy henry and to this day it is going as strong as day one, FYI I only have one vacuum cleaner at home and that's Henry. :)

I have this vacuum cleaner. It's good for the car. If you want good suction then take out the HEPA filter and it will work like a charm. Don't expect to get replacement parts though as they don't sell them. Good for quick cleans as long as suction vent isn't clogged.

I've just thrown out my previous Dyson cordless after about 8 years due to me foolishly starting up the machine with a wet filter, just one of those days, but loads of long running ones on forums, so you must have been rather unlucky.

It can't be that hard to change the battery surely? I've found Dyson's to be really is to service & repair. I've fixed ours & elderly relatives a fair few times fairly easily.

Yep. Our Dyson dc14 lasted 16 years, & tbh I'm pretty sure a motor replacement would keep it going strong, but decided to go with a lighter newer one as this house is much bigger & carting it around was a real pain. The new Dyson (a light ball), is almost half the size, is insanely lightweight in comparison, & has about half the power, yet picks up as well as the dc14 did when it was new!

Good job I am stress free and have a low pulse rate and normal blood pressure! People vote with their fingers. This is not hot as it is lower in price elswhere. It also is a poor daily deal, if more expensive than other sites. Simple! I cannot believe the OP did not enter the model number in a search engine and then posted the deal from Shark!

Rest up, stress is a killer.

And my point is you wouldn't have performance ratings without the EU energy label as that is the only thing that requires them to be published.

But the cleaning performance ratings aren't energy ratings, that was my point. ;)

You only get the performance ratings on the EU Energy Label that's my point. And nor do I care about the energy use if I did I wouldn't use 3 different vacuums to clean the house each day

Now that the upper allowed maximum power rating is 900w, who really cares about the energy rating? I don't vacuum enough (because I bloody hate it) for the energy used to be a significant part of the household consumption. When I do vacuum I want the machine to clean as effectively as possible, hence why I am really only interested in the cleaning performance ratings. I would imagine most people are the same.

I own this model. It's cleaning isn't great - especially on hard floors and thick piled carpet.

usually £199.99 (ninja)

Haha, the same Dyson V6 Animal - the battery last only 15 - 20 mins as supposed to - still happy as it’s enough to do 3 rooms downstairs and on second charge upstairs

Which cordless model do you have? I’m thinking of getting a newer one (I have the v6 but the battery goes after 20 mins) and interested in whether it would be a real upgrade...

The cordless are great, using one for last two years - highly recommended

Who needs dyson or gtech! I've used mine to hoover up concrete when I knocked out the bathroom

He was talking about being last of the corded models which it will be. James Dyson has already stated that they have stopped designing corded models. Yes it will be a couple of years before they phase out corded but their will no more improved Dyson cylinder or uprights models released, personally think this is a backward step.

thas a great deal!

I've jut sold a corded Dyson to friend - mint condition etc.... as got a cordless. The cordless is good - but I miss the corded one now! The corded still have better suction.

Unfortunately,no it won’t.

If anyone's looking for the model rogparki recommended above (thank you again!), it has since sold out on both and amazon (£104.99). The one mentioned above in Studio doesn't have the stair attachment. I found the model with the attachment at for £91.98, next day shipping included. I had never heard of freeNet but after a bit of searching they seemed decent, so I took a chance and ordered. My order arrived yesterday, used it today. I'm pleased. Worth checking them out if you're hunting for a carpet washer with rotating brushes and a stair tool.

These are truly pointless. Go on ebay and buy a refurbished higher end model. Or if you only want to do upholstery, stairs and car then buy a normal wet and dry "shop" vac from Screwfix. Buy carpet cleaning fluid and a suitable brush and bucket. Hand clean the area you want to clean. Buy a carpet cleaning nozzle off ebay for £16.99, this one works well and fits my shop vac. FITS NUMATIC GEORGE GVE370 UPHOLSTERY SPRAY NOZZLE TOOL FISHTAIL 601125

These static brushes are rubbish in fact a good vacuum cleaner will probably clean your carpets better than this, I used one which did nothing except get the carpet wet, go for the one with the rotating brush, I use the Bissell powerwash cleaner which have very good results. Occasionly sellers have new stock at half price on eBay.

Agree you need the brushes we got the dual v advance total home, refurbished off ebay 3 years ago fantastic leaves the carpets dry with max extract

I'd have to agree with all of the above. We have a Vax Dual Power Pro (spinning and rotating brushes) and its great, i'd definitely recommend. Before that we had the one in the OP and it was rubbish. The static brush makes it really difficult to push on long pile carpet and it doesn't really do much scrubbing anyway.
