I use one of these in black when on the turbo/Zwift and it’s very effective and keeping me cool (well much cooler than I would be without a decent fan and putting effort in). Like others have said it’s not that quiet so not one to have on when sleeping but it’s good for the money - hence why so many people have this very model for indoor cycling.

Decent fan. I have one pointed at me at this very moment. Paid a few quid more for it last year and don’t feel like I was ripped off.

If you put your mouth close to it and make animal noises, like " " does it echo back two or three times? It's for a friend. (edited)

The design of that box makes me feel like I'm watching one of those teleshop tv channels from the 90's US, where you had to call in to buy it and they had ridiculous offers like pay £69.49 now, and get the second and third one free.

(Let's not talk about the things they used the items for to demonstrate their capabilities. Like I can see this fan slicing pickles on a loop for dramatic effect to show how much force therefore wind it can push through.) (edited)

Good price. Bought it in black last year for £25. I personally use it infrequently. Don't how it fares when used daily but it's a decent fan as far as I can tell.
Also, it's not as small as the pics make it look to be. (edited)

Got one of these in black, it's noisy and doesn't push as much air cos it's quite small but but it's perfect for pushing air around a room or through a window which is more what it's designed for

I have this fan in black but wouldn't call it quiet

    I agree it's not quiet!

Most annoying thing about this is that it starts with the highest speed which then needs the knob turned by another two clicks before getting to the lowest speed. Not sure why the fan speed is controlled the wrong way round to any other fan that I have ever used. It is also noisy but good for those who need some background white noise like me. (edited)

Marketing folk have cottoned on to the fact that buyers are now after 'air circulator' fans as they are better than regular fans........ so now they're describing every fan as an air circulator fan
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
I have the older version of this one (just a different base I think), got it a few years ago.
Pretty sure they called it an 'Air circulator' back when I bought it, so it's not something they've just cottoned on to.

Stick it on a window sill & this thing pulls fresh air in at a considerable rate. Had mine 2 years, it's not quiet but I find it easy to sleep with
  11. stevieshoes's avatar
Great price. If a light sleeper the drone will keep you up. But it’s not super noisy

Always amused my box has this nonsensical silent claim!

It’s a great fan if it’s what you need, ie. blasting air in a single direction directly onto you, but even a standard desk fan that rotates side to side does a better job of cooling a whole room.

And it’s pretty loud, but it’s not a whiny noise so I found it fine to sleep. But upgrading to a proper circulating fan that moves around up and down and left and right was a huge improvement.

Not recommended, unless you want it directly pointing at you, as per the Zwift example above. It’s perfect for that sort of use.

Shifts a good amount of air, even on low. It's not quiet but produces a low thrum which I find a much more bearable noise than most fans make.

Control dial is a pain. It's small, stiff and hard to access.
  14. Foxeh's avatar
Bought this last year, returned it because it’s very loud, no way you could sleep through it, unless that’s your thing.

Got one a couple of years back. It was noisier than a similar sized 15yr old cheapo no brand fan I already had - both on the lowest speed...

    Got this fan in black
Got it for 25 last year and very good for the price
The only issue I have with it is that its not quiet
  17. Robbie_Paulson's avatar
Bought the black version (HT900E) May 2016 for £25 and has been used as a desk fan every summer since. At the highest setting it is too loud but it will cool you quickly, as it shifts a lot of air. I just use the lowest setting most of the time and it's not that disturbing.

Bought one a couple of years ago. Now have three. Useful for when it hits >30C. Even more fun when I have all three running at the same time, next to each other. The dogs just go crazy

Quite a high airflow. These are based on the better selling Vornados I believe even if they aren't as good.

We use ours to create air flow around the house or drag in cool air in the evenings. Does a good job but is loud on max.

I bought the Honeywell HT900E (it looks quite similar to the HT904) from Amazon 3 years ago (currently 22.99 on Amazon), and have been very pleased with it - I have it situated in one corner of my lounge pointed at a 45-degree angle (to blow across the room to the furthest corner. I used it yesterday when it very quite warm in the house, and a pleasant breeze was produced at the lowest setting - which I normally leave it set. At that setting it's not noisy at all - I don't have to turn up the telly or the radio - it's not obtrusive, although I can imagine at a higher setting it will be noisier. (edited)

I ordered one before yesterday (that’s when I found the deal) and it’s really good. It’s way more powerful than I was expecting and the building quality isn’t bad.

Looks is very good but its is not the worth it, too slow
    jason.slattery's avatar
I have a slightly different model and it's actually really good. Unless this is really different from the one I have I doubt it's that bad.

arrived today it said 40w on amazon but its 30w packs a bit of a punch for the size its not quiet either.

Good fan. Use one for indoor cycling and can’t fault for price.

I have this fan and use it daily at work. Proper life saver, and quiet enough that it doesn't disturb others.
  29. alarmmanmark's avatar
I’ve got this and the Meaco. The Meaco is far superior but obviously more expensive. Worth it to me though
  30. greg666's avatar
Bought it last year for my Axolotl’s tank and its fine. However, there are two things you should consider.
    1. The switch 0-3 is in a very awkward position.
    2. It’s not turning left-right so its more a pointing fan what reduces greatly the use otherwise a good fan

Went for the black just because it would be more aesthetically pleasing in the room
  37. c_chap56's avatar
I bought this fan a few years ago. Unless they’ve dramatically improved the design since then I would suggest staying well clear. At it’s lowest level the noise is fine but it’s not very efficient. At its highest level… in terms of noise I’d say a jet engine is probably quieter than this. If like me you need a fan on to sleep then I would personally recommend going for any standard similar price pedestal fan over this. (edited)
