Perhaps change the title so that it reads £2.25/month for 6 months..
    Not £2.25 for 6 months

    Stay away, terrible customer service

Is there a sim where you can just top up £10 and use it when you want like the old 3 sim 321? My contract is about to run out I just want to keep the number
    simes's avatar
You can still get sim cards for O2's 321 PAYG tariff. Its called the classic ( there are lots of them still for sale on Ebay for around 99p delivered)
Exactly the same rates as Three used to be .. 3p a min, 2p a text and 1p per Mb data . No expiry on your credit either, Unbeatable for really low users . I moved to it when three ended their 321 tariff.

Worst customer service go for LEBARA instead answer call in less then 1 min

I had to call to Lebara couple of times, and it's always was 10+ minutes waiting of useless assistance. But still love it as Lebara is absolutely great value for money.

The customer service is terrible but what do you expect for so cheap a service? If you are in a good O2 reception area and all you want is a cheap Sim then it's fine. Maybe it will get cheaper but £13.50 for six months phone service and some data has got to a bargain.

Is this only for new customers or can existing customers get this too?
    mavericke's avatar
I think it is just for a new customer only.

1p deal going strong for me too!

Their customer service is based on Mars ,don't understand the words they pronounce.

Part and parcel of most call centres now a days, it is a bonus if they can speak in a language that most in the UK can understand, resolving any issues is a nightmare.

Whilst the prices are fab the service for me unfortunately not. I lose complete signal/internet at least 6 times a day.
    FormerFatBoyinTheGym's avatar
Roughly what area are you in? I'm in London and it works perfectly fine, the only time I lose a signal is when I'm deep inside a Tesco superstore

    Great deal. Heat from me.

    £2.24 too much. freezing.

How does this compare to giffgaff which also runs on O2?
  13. Joshfount's avatar
Good deal if O2 data works for you and you're happy with up to 6 months ♨️

Feeling like a fatcat with my 1p deal
    tintowellfan's avatar
Yep, presently roaming in Spain with it. Works perfectly well. Saving me and the wife the two quid daily roaming charge with our Three contract. Lebara customer service has been excellent thus far. Planning to move to them when Three contract is up soon.

Do people think this will go to 1p again?

I'm on the Lebara 1p but I'm really not all that happy with it, the mobile data is really slow and I can't send text messages for some reason.

Used to be on three which was miles better

I am in lebara. My data and text are just fine. Contact lebara abs term then this.. they will help. I think you might need to play around with some setting... but again I am in London where reception is good.

    15gb x 5G data sounds really good at £6.99
Is anyone getting 5G data lyca? Kindly let us know.
  17. tardytortoise's avatar
Can I buy this and only activate it in Jan 23?
  18. tardytortoise's avatar
would tethering be allowed with this SIM?
  19. PTwelve's avatar
Can you order more than 1 at this price? Looking to switch the kids.... Take that how you want.

Can I use roaming data and call in Singapore?
  21. Jacepad's avatar
How easy is it to cancel
  22. el0nmu5k's avatar
Any better than ch3@p Lebara with only cloud coverage and no real signal anywhere?
  23. DealTron's avatar
Lyca has better network than lebara. I switched to lebara for 1p deal. Now looking to switch back. This seem like okay deal. For sure we are not getting 1p deals again.
    deleted2846447's avatar
For sure, you say? Last 1p deal just ended 29 days ago.

Maybe we'll get big inflation and it'll be 2p/ month for 6 months.

I for one welcome a new 1p price war by our mobile overlords

These scruffy gits are the worst. Watch your tariff fail to renew and then be cast out and doomed to pay full price for the next month while their customer 'support' fail miserably at everything despite telling you that they have resolved your issue. (edited)

    Can I cap my spending?
  28. imranali786's avatar
Anyone else received their SIM? I've been charged £2.25, got the SIM, but have not received any confirmation emails about the order and now cannot activate the sim as they can't locate the order

Hopefully it resolves itself but not looking good
  29. omegatvt's avatar
dumb question, is it possible to use only for the first six months and then stop so you are only paying 2.225 for 5 months purely for the data ? (edited)
    tintowellfan's avatar
No contract. Pretty clear that you can cancel anytime.

Price war with Lebara round 2?
  31. jwhitham's avatar
I took this deal moving from Three. However the data seems incredibly slow. At work, home and in town even with full 4G signal strength I'm getting 250kbps vs the 250mbps I had with Three 1000x slower! I have my apn as data.lycamobile.co.uk and set to auto 3G/4G/5G Is this just the O2 has worse signal or is Lyca throttled compared to regular O2 customers. I did once see 10mbps but usually below 1mbps :-(
