Thanks also to usenetz: here
It's not a direct debit, it's recurring card (or Paypal) payments. No credit check.
You can cancel this 1p a month SIM any time (alternatively, turn off auto-renewal after 6 months. Log into your account, disable auto renew. Seems you can only do this on the website, not the app! App links below).
Lebara don't appear to offer e-SIMs.
They send out a 3 in 1 SIM so all sizes are covered (eg, yes, it will fit an iPhone).
Lebara are rolling out Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling (thanks bellainthecity) ispreview.co.uk/ind…tml - mentioned here
(Re the additional comment below: Some have previous versions of Android and Wi-Fi calling is working, eg Android 10 EMUI / Huawei Mate 20 Pro, see here)
If you have issues with slower data when you put in your new Lebara SIM, reset network settings.
Android: If you're having internet problems, try this APN (thanks to keefly) - here or this one, here
For anyone having bad download speeds, disabling 5G may be an option, see here (thanks to YerDaSellsAvon_)
Lebara's Adult Content Blocker is set on as default, you can turn it off here - or ask on Live Chat (thanks, keefly)
About the Auto-renew setting (only visible on a desktop browser, not the app), thanks Mooney_70, here
What's the difference between the Lyca Deal and the Lebara Deal?

Wifi calling isn't available on Google phones, seems to be some issues between them and Google.
I had WiFi calling on my P20 Pro, but will not work with same SIM in my Realme 9 Pro plus - have tried to get them to help, without joy & their IMEI checked for VoLTE says my phone is not compatible. They seem to have problems with more than Google phones. Still great value, but if wifi or 4G calling are important, maybe test before you port?

FaceTime and iMessage works - How much does it go up to after 6 months? Back to £7.90?You can change your plan on month 6 to a cheaper plan if you wanted to through the below link. Just do it on the last day before the autonew kicks in and it will turn autorenew off on old plan and turn it on for new plan as shown below. If you do it on last day you effectively have bundle for both plans for 1 day.

This is what it will show in My Account page:
(edited) - How much after the 6 months please?Try pressing "Get deal*"
- Is Switzerland part of the free EU roaming?Didn't work for me
- Ok I have 89p for 5gb at mo, literally activated it few days ago.
Can I sign up for this, cancel my 89p after a month and keep my number?
TIA as ever guysIf you are already with Lebara, you would need to switch out to someone like Asda Mobile for a day, then switch back to Lebara. A faff but worth it compared to paying full price. - There were six questions in last 30 minutes and only one answered! All answered now
- This is a great deal even if you get it purely to use on holiday in the EUThat's what I'll be using my new sim for. Got 3 European City breaks in the next 6 months.
Saves me paying Three £2.00 per day to roam on my current sim. - So if I sign up for this now but don’t want to use the sim till say January/February does it charge me now, or once activated? It's all been posted by the OP. The first 94p is charged when you order, when you activate the SIM within 90 days that 94p covers your first month & after that first month completes you will then be charged the second 94p to cover your second month. Repeat x 4.
- Does anyone know when this deal expires? No
- Can I check… I’m an existing customer and would like to get involved in this deal and keep my number.
Am I correct in thinking, to make the most of my current month’s payment, I need to turn off auto renew and then port out around the last day of my rolling 30, then activate the sim and port in?
I have an ASDA sim ready to port to but on attempting to order this deal, so to have this deal ready to port to, I get an error at checkout. It says I already have an account.
Reading above, it seems people have 4 accounts linked to 1 e-mail address.
I’ve trawled through all the comments and am none the wiser. I need a kind of Janet & John guide or certainly a hand held.
Can someone help please?
(edited)If you log on to your lebara account first and then open another internet tab with the deal offer from here, you can order the cheap sim on the same account, no need for different email addresses.
Then once you have your new cheaper sim, port out your old sim to asda then from asda back to the the new sim to get the cheaper deal. (edited) - When does this deal expire please?
Never mind , found it . It's Thursday 1st Dec. Ta
- Waiting on mvo's to get with the times and offer esim. Makes switching so much easier....nah they won't because they don't want to be used as SECONDARY SIMS, your better bet is to make your main number on ESIM
- 1p sim working fantastic in india at the moment. 3 weeks of lebara in india im well impressed how its worked out.Worked very poorly for me in Hyderabad and Lucknow. Barely had network
- Great deal but how are Lebara making a profit with these crazy contracts?! Will they still be around in a few years?Guy at ee said lebara dont pay to advertise on tv etc which can cost 100k so with that advertising budget they do deals like this instead.
- Thanks OP.
"You can have a maximum of 4 of these SIMs per account (using the same email address + debit card)."
It would not let me order this new sim, without using a new email address, it said that address is already registered?
Unfortunately my £1.99 sim I had ordered before, it says has expired after 90 days. So make a note of the dates, if you intend to use later. That’s because you’re trying to register for a new account with an email already associated with an existing account during checkout.
Try logging into your account, then opening the link with the offer. You’ll be able to order up to 4 sims per account (minus any already linked to it).
You can delink old sims in the app if you need to make space and want to “cancel” them. - Wifi calling working on pixel 3a and 4a.
- Is the roaming working properly? Any extra charges? This scheme is designed for customers who primarily live in the UK and ideal for short trips to other places in the EU. To safeguard against abuse, If your roaming usage is greater than usage in the UK over any continuous 120 day period, you will be subject to a surcharge of 0.20p/MB (equivalent to £2/GB) for data, 0.04p/sec (equivalent to 2.4p/min) for outgoing calls, 0.01p/sec (equivalent to 0.6p/min) for incoming calls and 0.8p for sending an
- Off to Turkey next year only Voxi and 1p mobile are decent!Voxi doesn't have free roaming anymore only the expensive Vodafone plan had Turkey included.
Voxi: 15£ for 8 days 15 days 25£ not really a bargain better off taking a local SIM card.
help.voxi.co.uk/Roaming-and-International/Roaming/1843464772/How-do-I-use-my-VOXI-plan-abroad.htm
1p mobile is quite expensive in Turkey 20 per mb (204.8£ per GB!) Call to the UK 1£ per min. (edited) - Do they support esim? No.
- Just to confirm:
Are we switching off auto-top up from day 1 of activating the sim,
Or
waiting till a few days before month 6 to avoid standard sim prices? (edited)You want auto top up off from day one. But auto renewal needs to be on or you’ll lose the deal after the first month and have no bundle of mins texts and data afterwards. - can someone please confirm whether this is 94p for the *whole* six months (ie 15p a month as was indicated when the deal went live) or whether it’s 94p per month for six months?
did scour the thread for an answer but no joy
thanks x
it’s a bit confusingI'm not really sure what's confusing ... Read "About this deal" (e.g. "Your next 94p payment is taken 30 days after you activate your SIM") then click "Get deal*" to see "94p/month x 6 months" on the Lebara website. It's 94p a month for the first six months (from activation) then £7.90 a month after that. 94 doesn't even divide by 6! - If i bought this could i wait to activate and get charged or is it charged straight away.... i am currently on the 1p deal but think i have a couple of months leftYou will pay the first month upfront but you then have 3 months to activate the SIM card. Once you activate it, your month starts and then you'd be charged 94p in a month's time for month #2.
- Can number be switched to it?Only if its a UK number
- Still expensive compared to previously 1p/months for 6 monthsI think ‘expensive’ is a bit harsh considering it’s under £1. Comparatively everything is expensive compared to 1p but most people won’t notice the difference unless they’re cripplingly poor (edited)
- Great deal. Still using the 1p one.
However, I still don't understand how this works.YES, you can cancel your current Lebara SIM and change to this one
Some people say you have to port out and then back in (that's how I did to ASDA), but this suggests you don't need to do that. Could someone clarify without referring to an endless quote into quote thread?
Thanks! You can cancel..... if you don't want the existing Lebara number
You can pretty much ignore that line about cancelling if you actually want to keep the number (some people are just ordering the Lebara SIMs as spares to put in their 2nd SIM slot and use that way, which is where that "cancel" text might start being relevant). - Is this 4G deal?Yes, 3G, 4G & 5G
- Hi, anyone using Lebara around Liverpool / Merseyside, just done the coverage checker, didn't look great, anyone with a good experience on this network tia6 year old uses it and kirkdale and reports no issues, and believe me is something wasn't working it would be the end of the world!
- Trying to order but having the following issue:
Sorry, something went wrong.
We encountered a problemTry again, I just managed to order. - Is this expired cos I'm seeing £7.90 ?It's not expired, discount is applied at checkout, done this myself 30 mins ago
- Can I cancel or return it if I don't want it anymore before I activate it?Do your math
Hassles to get the 94p
Or just relax and leave it somewhere under the table and might even need it before 3 months expiry which still worth for next 6 months at 94p/month for 15GB? - I've noticed Lycra do similar deals. could you have this for 6 months, port out to lycra for one of their cheap deals, then port back to Lebara?
3gb data would be more than enough for me. Should I go now or wait for black friday!Lyca is **** no costomer service! - Silly question but not sure about the auto renewal part. Do you switch this off AFTER the 6 months 0.94p deal is up or can do that any time. If I do it now does that mean I only get it for one month? I hope that makes sense. I could just put a note in my calendar to remember to switch off auto renewal via website... (edited)Do not touch the green switch off/on unless you are 100% sure that you want to terminate the one month contract otherwise you will loose the discount for next 5 months. (edited)
- My son has been on Lebara for a few years now. No complaints and at 13 yrs old if he says its good then its good. I have to admit I've had no issues with them being the account holder and have managed to swap him onto other Lebara deals when they come up on here really simply via the account. I'd have no problems going with them (they use the Vodafone network 5G capable)
- If you are on an iphone and the portin doesn't work, try this
Go to Settings > Tap Phone > Tap My Number > Use the delete button to remove the old number > Use the keypad to enter new number > Save & Restart - [deleted]Of course they will not let you do that. You have to do the mobile swap dance.
1. Request you PAC
2. Move your number to a different network (Vodafone has free SIM cards).
3. Wait for the transfer to be completed totally then request a PAC from your new network.
4. Join Lebara as a "new" customer.
Order a new SIM card on ASDA and one from Lebara on a different email right so you don't have to wait and can jump ship) do the network dance when you have both of the SIM cards. (edited) - Will this work in an iPad?Yes you can use it as a data sim
- When do you start getting charge the monthly rental..on receipt or activation?First month is paid upfront at time of order. Second payment is a month after you activate the SIM.
- Ported number, thought it went through ok but couldn't receive calls just texts. Went on lebara live chat and they said try another handset which I did, still same problem can't receive calls, went back to live chat and they reset my network which completely knackered it up.
I now get error message saying no service, selected network(lebara) unavailable so can't receive anything now.
They're sending me new SIM with my same phone number, can see me receiving same error message even with new SIM I'd avoid them in future, good if it goes well but an absolute nightmare to fix if port in not 100% successful.
Probably gonna have to have new number on another mobile provider now and the nightmare of changing everything associated with it. (edited)Gosh unlucky, hope it will be sorted for you. Maybe a split port problem sometimes it takes more than 24h. - My SIM arrived today, ordered on 25th and shipped on 26th, so they are taking a while but they're getting there. Activated and have number set up to port on Wednesday. Its probably Royal mail strikes affecting deliveries
- FYI: I have just activated this now. Nearly 6 months .. Thanks
(edited)AuthorI guess 1p deal finished.
