What's BA cabin bag policy. Tight like easyjet or normal cabin size?
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Normal, not tight!
Two carry on bags are included, one standard size for the overhead locker, and one small handbag/backpack to fit under the seat.

Isn't it time they renamed themselves "London Airways" ?

Airlines from other countries also mostly depart from their capitals and London is our capital.

No thank you .Happened a few times.Booked tickets, then they later cancel and you left or stranded to get another flight and a nightmare to have a refund, or the prices become so expensive you can't afford
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
BA are back to the normal cancel/refund system, as we're no longer in covid times.
If they cancel, you can rebook on an alternative flight for no extra cost, or you can click for a full refund.

Don't forget to add £10 ripoff for passenger drop off + pickup and £2.50 to use an airport atm and £2 for a newspaper because heathrow don't bother with free ones anymore. Shambles of an airport. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole

What planet are you living on? Fees only
apply if you go in the car park. No one uses cash or reads newspapers anymore. Seems appropriate to charge you for sustaining legacy habits

They can't be bothered to answer the phone yet they can launch this scale of marketing offensive

I like the fact that BA flight is inclusive of cabin luggage without the faff of it being added as an optional extra. That and the fact you can still take a small bag onboard.

Booked a few days over in Bologna for £72.

That's the reason why I fly with them and not budget airlines.

The title should say …..within Europe or to other european destinations etc…

Sorry to break the bad news but UK its maybe not part of EU but still in Europe and been there for 1000’s of years lol

Travel in general has got more expensive since the Covid years, and whilst I appreciate its not as cheap as it was before (many reasons), if you can get something in the realms of £80 for somewhere you want to go, then I see this as a great deal.

Think about it, you can spend more on a train ticket during the week just travelling up and down the UK.

The whole parking thing, well that's just another way of dissuading people from driving, and its not just London, other cities /airports charge high rates too. I mean on one hand they can tell us to go electric but there's no subsidy on parking. Anyhoo, that's a whole different conversation. I guess if you are a lone/couple (without lots of luggage) travelling it makes more sense to utilise public transport as much as possible.

2h by public transport to Heathrow, 40 minutes by car. The only airport I can take reasonably quick public transport is Gatwick. But last time there was a rail strike and I had to take a taxi on part of the route. And no way to get there early in the morning, because local trains don't start until 6.30am. (edited)

I remember 30 odd years ago that they give free seats away on all flights. These were the days before you paid departure tax it was a Tuesday I think and I had paid for my flight but the aeroplane was half full because not many people turned up.

Mainly avios. People can part pay or pay full using avios. Also, if they have companion voucher, they are tied to flying with BA ( recent changes include aer ligus and Iberia)
  19. nookie360's avatar
It would cost more than the flight to get to London.
    deleted1970577's avatar
    No it doesn’t.

Some of the inclusive holidays also looking reasonably priced to me. Only a few more years before me + him can fly without our young adults or I would definitely be booking something for later on in 2023. Thanks OP.

Can you only use the low fare finder for flights out of London? I’m interested in finding low fares out of Newcastle, understanding they’ll route through London but unsure how to find the lowest fares starting in Newcastle.
