Any recommendations for a hotel for 1 adult and child? How much will it cost in total do you reckon for the holiday? (edited)

You could stay in 'Center Hotels Laugavegur' (for example) for that week, b&b from around £860. The hotel is quite centre. Its not the getting there and staying there, its the other costs like meals/drinks through the day and then you will want to do excursions ore car rental to see some amazing scenery etc. It can work out quite expensive there and a week is a long time. I went for 4 nights and in terms of money, that was long enough! (edited)

The picture is of the church in Vik and yes, those purple flowers are quite a common sight.

Every offer comes out when kids holiday finishes seem like offers suitable only for couples without kids. (edited)

Unfortunately you will rarely ever see offers during school holidays as that is the highest demand season and airlines/hotels use pricing algorithms based on demand.
