Sky Price Hike. Any solutions please?

I only rejoined Sky 3 weeks ago on a reasonable offer of 46/month including Ultimate TV, sports and cinema, but they are increasing it by 6 pounds to 52 and Broadband to 43 from 30.
I tried to call thinking cancelling within 31 days cooling period. The best they can offer is TV 50/month and Broadband 38/month
Any tips or alternative ? Not sure how good the streaming services work. I only need Netflix and Formula 1

Did my sky q box last year and not really missed it at all. Actually surprised as to how little sky we watched.
Just a word of warning, Keep proof of return postage as they tried to charge me for not returning equipment. Luckily I was able to provide them with a tracking number showing that they had received it 3 week earlier.

I'd probably cancel again and wait to see if they send any come back offers a day or two before the 31 days are up. Always try to include the price rises before a deal if your signing up in Jan/Feb.

Sounds a great idea. There is no loss in 31 days notice. It may work, if not then will probably keep it although very crossed with this price hike

Check put Nowtv for the broadband. Its the same routers etc as its the same company. There tends to be deals on for them. Mines been about £20 for 18 months or so now.

If u r not in contract, cancel it, they will invariably come with better deal. Mine they came down from 70 or so to 46. But now the 4 pounds rise will make it 50.

if you can cancel then cancel.. then rejoin after the april price rises.. no doubt theyll still have £30 broadband deals going and tv offers for under £50. then youll be locked in for 12 months at that rate. signing up in february/march is the worst time really.

If it was not for you posting I would not have noticed that mines going from £48 to £52 I only re-subbed in November after giving them notice of leaving at the end of contract.
Not happy, I have Fibre from someone else so the bradband does not affect me and broadband provider said it was not incresing bills this year.

Yes I am always upfront noticing bill changes and so crossed of 6 pounds rise on TV alone. Broadband my contract ending on 11 March so will hunt around. I have 147 MB speed and cheapest on U switch is talk talk. But their review look bad

    HI,

Was paying £54 a month but discount is ending so going up to £90.

I contacted them via chat was offered the below:-

Sky Signature at £20.00 a month, (that's a £12 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £32.00 pm.

Sky Sports complete package with sports HD at £21.00 a month, (that's a £15 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £36.00 pm.

Ultimate TV Add on (netflix premium) at £6.00 a month, (that's a £0.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £6.00 pm.

Sky HD at £6.00 a month, (that's a £2.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £8.00 pm.

Sky UHD at £2.00 a month, (that's a £2.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £4.00 pm.

Multiscreen at £11 a month, (that's a £4.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £15 pm.

That would be a new monthly total of: £66.00

I just gave my notice and will wait to see what they come back with.

66 is too much. Cancel and wait. Please see my comment above for tip. Having said that they still trapped me in this April price hike

I've just put in my cancellation. I remember in times past there was a sky webpage dedicated to returning customers which you could only access once notice given. Does anyone remember the link for it, can't find now?

They often send emails/links once contract ends

Ultimate TV Add on (netflix premium)
    Sky HD
    Sky UHD
    Multiscreen
    145mb fibre
