Has anyone had any luck with Virgin media retention team. I'm asking them to match me one of the welcome offers on their Website but they are playing ignorant.
    Anyone had any joy

I cancelled and waited for their call, ended up accepting m200 for £11.75 a month

Don’t do it - we had no internet for 6 weeks and in all that time they wouldn’t let us leave without paying a huge exit fee! AVOID them at all costs! Customer services is a nightmare. You’ll be passed from team to team and then will randomly be disconnected.

I cancelled with them due to price on 7th January. Broadband due to cancel on 6th Feb. Been waiting for their call from retentions team but nothing yet. Don't want to go through the hassle of setting up a new account in my partners name if they are going to call me before the 6th and offer me a good deal.

I’m not fussed if I don’t get an offer on cancellation. Thinking of going to fibre, which will be a lot cheaper for me over 2 years. Not sure what I will do for the TV side of things. Might give sky stream a go.

    Nice deal.
I'm paying £24 for m250 (they recently upgraded for this for free) + £12 O2 sim. Total is £36 /month.

But last month I got an Amazon voucher of £140 from Voucher Codes.
    Tahirsplace's avatar
How long did amazon voucher take to come through?

We've been trying to get to speak to someone at Virgin Media for about 6 weeks re swapping our broadband to them. You can only complete your details online and then they're supposed to call you back. No one has been in touch.

+448004089340 is the number they have been calling me from if it helps any.

Warning/ Keep and eye our for:

I have signed up to this and saw that self install is £0

The pdf bill however shows £5 for the quick start pack.
    Where is that coming from!?
I didn’t see a reference for £5 in the order journey - it should be ‘£0’

    Is this affecting anyone else?

Package Volt Deal with O2 SIM, came to £39.99. £3 rolling discount and cancelled O2 SIM after it arrived. Virgin account says Volt benefits will stay even though cancelled O2. So with a rolling discount which doesn't show here £11.99

Currently on the phone cancelling my contract, can’t understand a single word there saying and I’ve been on call 30 mins

    Absolute joke
    MoneySavingPunjabi's avatar
Virgin media customer service is a joke but at my other place I've got the ultimate volt package which normally costs £85 pm for £49 but that's because I did alot of complaining to the CEO
  9. ashmac's avatar
Though I did moan and rang to cancel after me saying three times no I don’t want the offer I’m cancelling they offered me

    O2 sim 6 Gb
    Sky sports
    Bigger bundle tv
    250 mb BB
    Land line
£49 pm 18 month price locked

I couldn’t turn it down as was paying £81 (edited)
    BKMacC's avatar
I’ll be cancelling mine. I’m paying £71 and don’t have sky sports.

I wanted this with added anytime calls but they said this is a broadband only deal? To have this speed plus anyime was going to be about £43? I find their pricing and 'help' very odd.

Can't see the £110 TCB offer. All I see is £89.25?49339854-y0wYA.jpg

Re volt, so if I subscribe to the 500mb tariff for £33 a month, and tell them I’m with O2 (which I am), do I get put on the 1130mb tariff?
    sajidtg's avatar
    Author
    In short - Yes
(sometime they have 600mb speed, then they upgrade you to that - Or sometime 1Gig is not available then they increase it to max avialable speed, which again is 600mb)

I've just negotiated another 18 months of this deal minus the sim card for 74 pound a month for 18 months through whatsapp. I was paying 79 pound a month with the sim. Initially they offered me a supposed deal at 95 quid a month, absolute jokers.
    hairywaynus's avatar
    Ultimate volt bundle, apologies.

What checks do the do on the O2 mobile contract? I’m not on O2 but my dad is and wonder if I can give his number and we both get speed boosts?
    deleted2812173's avatar
as far as im aware, they cross-reference bill payer's address
  17. aLV426's avatar
So there was me thinking 350Mb, TVM & landline for £22+£12/M was a bargain (the £12/M is for the Volt - which remnds me I need to get my VM mobile ported over as I am paying twice and only using 1 SIM!)
    Tahirsplace's avatar
Did you get this as a new customer offer or existing customer offer?
  18. mxer450's avatar
My 250mb internet is shocking, lucky to get 9mb... One day I'll ring them but CBA spending potentially hours pressing buttons inputting accounts numbers, speaking to departments that just say turn it on and off. Jeez would I be here if I hadn't tried..
  19. k4021's avatar
Don't see this on quidco do you need to be premium member and pay to get this? Can only see offer for £82 cashback (edited)
    young_boss's avatar
Yes premium members see the higher rate of cashback.
  20. cjovenstone's avatar
I'm on this and it is fantastic. I've got great Internet and it was a bit iffy in a couple areas and a single extender means I get minimum 175mbps in every room, genuinely impressed. Previously barely getting 20mbps from plusnet
  21. Leszek_KozakybU's avatar
How to get this £110 cashback?
  22. Tahirsplace's avatar
I was offered £22/month for M125 which volts to M250. Not sure if this is good? This is as an existing customer so saves me the hassle of returning the modem, signing up in wifes name and potentially being without broadband for a couple of days. Also whose to say this same offer will be available once my notice ends which is 10 March 2023 (although I could have probably delayed the start date).
    YD123's avatar
Same dilemma but I was offered volt 125 for £17 and volt 250 for £23. These are volt specific packages so can't be doubled up. I'm going for the new mse deal which is £23.95 for m125 with £100 credit so effectively £18.39. Will get it in my wife's name.
My end date is 6th Feb. Anyway to avoid a lapse in connection as we both work from home?
  23. Tahirsplace's avatar
is there a set up fee?
    jack1974uk's avatar
My deal? No they waived setup/activation charge
  24. lehaandreev's avatar
Thanks ordered M350 deal, Do they contact my current provider(Talk Talk) automatically to keep the same number?

PS TOPCAHSBACK tracked as £60 instead of 110.

DO I Cancel and reorder with quidco? (edited)
    cjovenstone's avatar
Definitely a question specifically for virgin, they could have cancelled mine and explicitly asked but I said no as I needed an overlap.
  25. lehaandreev's avatar
Cash back initially tracked as £60. After raising an incorrect cash back claim they upped it to £110 as advertised
  26. Bally1986's avatar
Can anyone confirm that the £110 is still applicable before I upgrade my TCB?

    Thanks in advance
    gx909's avatar
I can confirm the cashback applies to this broadband package, but it did initially track at a lower amount. Sent a message to their customer service and got the cashback uplifted to £110.
