Chester Zoo are offering free zoo tickets for kids 28th Feb with the purchase of an adult ticket, during the planned teacher strikes. Kids tickets are usually £26 so a good saving. Need to book online.


We're delighted to offer free tickets for Children this Tuesday. School children can visit for zoo for fee during this week's planned teacher strike. We believe that conservation education is really important to creating a better world. Exploring the zoo provides the opportunity for young people to spend time in nature.

On the day, we'll have lots of special educational events, including talks from our Zoo rangers and our Wild Science Safari trail. Plan a fantastic day out while learning about our mission to prevent extinction of endangered specifies.

    Some people may have an issue with wild creatures in a zoo..........but I say as long the kids are well behaved

    Teacher strike is on Wednesday 1st March so no good for most parents. Great planning by Chester zoo (edited)

    Regional strikes from 28th to the 2nd and a national strike 15th and 16th March. North West (of which Chester is covered) is on the 28th. Knowsley Safari Park is doing a similar offer.

    Nice offer from Chester Zoo again.
    And, people who take up Chester Zoo's offer might be lucky in seeing the 2 new tiger cubs born at the beginning of January. Press announcement last week.
    There's also a baby Tree Kangaroo (as pictured above) - it's very cute, and the recently born rare baby chimpanzee.
