The Ultimate Saris Indoor Training Bundle – MP1 Platform and H3 Trainer
Experience the future of indoor cycling with this Saris multidirectional movement platform and smart trainer combo. Indoor training has experienced a renaissance with the rise in popularity of virtual racing and smart trainers. The MP1 is positioned to again shrink the gap between the indoor and outdoor experience by realistically simulating the complete multi-axis movement of the bike beneath you.

When it comes to indoor bike trainers, the most frequently asked question is: how quiet is it? Taking this to heart, the Saris team, based in Madison, Wisconsin, set a goal to build a trainer so quiet, that the only sound is that of your drive train. The result? A direct drive smart trainer that touts a sound specification of 59 decibels at 20 mph. In other words, the H3 is five times quieter than previous generations, making it the quietest smart trainer we have ever seen.

The MP1 is certainly complimented by the virtual training ecosystem, however it is a fully engaging riding experience on its own merits. Everyone who has tried it will attest that the dynamic motion simulation is addictively fun. It responds to your efforts with the same satisfying swing and spring as a real bike. The reassuring familiarity of the experience will have you riding naturally, just as you do on the road, as soon as you feel it. The more natural shifting of weight also results in significantly less foot and saddle pressure, improving your comfort on those long training sessions. Riding on the MP1 also recruits more muscles than traditional stationary trainers, helping you maintain that essential core strength you will need come race season.

Great price, I bought this combo back in October for £849 to replace a Saris fluid trainer.
Was quite a shock going from a fluid trainer regularly pumping out stupidly high watts to a smart trainer that added resistance based on what Rouvy was showing.
The motion platform is nice but as I don't get up on the pedals it doesn't move much for me, just rocks mostly gently forward and backwards.
The box is huge and heavy.
Saris made too many MP1s due to the uptake during COVID, priced it stupidly high and the market crashed hence the savage price cuts to shift stock.
The platform gets good reviews on YT but the price was always criticised.
At this price it's a no brainer.

Is this better than Zwift's own turbo trainer (reputed to be very good)?

I did a lot of research when I bought the wife’s about 18 months ago and £ for £ this seemed to be better reviewed than the TACX and Wahoo (Zwift one wasn’t around then) with better accuracy and the best ERG mode of the three I was looking at. The wife loves it and it’s so much easier than her previous TACX although to be fair that wasn’t direct drive.

If you buy it make sure you update the firmware first.

Have a look at DC Rainmaker who has a lot of info on this sort of thing

Douglas Adams used to get on his exercise bike ride 30m then go into his office and would do the same on "the way home"...

At the begining of lock down I'd ride to work - do a loop back to my house - but would often need to get a taxi home!

I thought this was a toboggan trainer.

The cheapest price for just the trainer is £450 , adding the motion platform for an extra £80 inc postage is the best price it's ever been! (edited)

Heck of a deal, but do make sure you have the space for the rocker plate, iirc it can move up to ~30cm forward and back!

Got mine delivered just before the weekend.

Ended up getting it from Sports Direct as got 10% off with Students Beans code

Set it up and did a Zwift workout and very impressed.

The trainer is very smooth and works really well in ERG mode.

The MP1 adds a different dimension with it's subtle movement while riding.

I bought the wife’s H3 (without the MP1) for Christmas 22 and with a big discount it was £574 so this deal is smoking hot!

Maximum combined weight is 136kg. I need to get out and ride more me thinks. If you can find the space and are much less of an Eric Cartman 'beef cake' like my self then I'd go for it. Until then another excuse to get out on my bike again and again ....

That’s crazy cheap, I sold my 2 year old H3 trainer on its own for £425 about 6 months ago.

Wow! Smoking hot without burning any rubber on your back tyre
I've been looking for a Direct drive trainer for ages.

£900 if you were to buy both items separately using Evans!

Ridiculously good deal! You're getting a rocker platform that retails anywhere between £500 - £1000 thrown in free for effectively the normal price of a very decent turbo trainer. If this were a more mainstream deal, it would have gone over 1000° by now!

Just bought to upgrade my Tacx Flux S, which will hopefully mean a net spend of £300. Thanks
