LIGHT UP YOUR WORLD with SELF-LIT PiXELS
LG OLED TV is a joy to behold. Self-lit pixels allow truly spectacular picture quality and a whole host of design possibilities, while the latest cutting-edge technologies help deliver unprecedented levels of wonder. This is everything you love about TV — elevated in every way.

What makes OLED unlike anything else?
The answer is self-lit pixels. A self-luminous display technology that makes all the difference to your viewing experience. Unlike LED TVs that are restricted by backlight technology, LG OLED TVs are capable of extreme realism and unique designs.

100 million reasons to love OLED.
When it comes to picture quality, OLED beats LED hands down. That's because OLED has millions of self-lit pixels capable of producing perfect black and accurate colour. The result is a viewing experience like no other.

Infinite Contrast OLED puts LED in the shade.
Put simply, OLED has millions of self-lit pixels that can turn on and off to achieve perfect black and infinite contrast. That black is better than both mini-LED and LED TVs. So it doesn't matter how many thousands of backlights they have, LED TVs will still be in OLED's shadow.

OLED passes with flying colours.
Global testing agency Intertek has confirmed that LG OLED displays have 100% colour fidelity. This means that the colours you see on the screen closely match the colours of the original image. So everything you watch looks as the creator intended.

A dazzling display of colour.
LG OLED TVs achieve full Colour Volume thanks to the excellent colour reproduction technology of LG TVs. With 100% Colour Volume, LG OLED can express 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum across a 3D colour space that covers the TV's full luminance range. This means that colours remain vivid and lifelike with full saturation no matter how bright or dark the display.

OLED Cinema.
LG OLED TV produces an award-worthy performance every time you watch thanks to its incredibly sharp picture. And with perfect black and 100% colour fidelity, movies are seen how they're meant to be seen.

Home to all your favourites.
Streaming has never been easier. Get all your must-have apps like Freeview Play, NOW TV, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and more on LG’s webOS smart platform.

A transformative TV experience.
Dolby Vision IQ intelligently adjusts picture settings based on content genre and ambient surroundings, while Dolby Atmos delivers multi-dimensional surround sound — a powerful combination that produces breathtakingly cinematic results.

The director's vision brought to life.
FILMMAKER MODE™ turns off motion smoothing while preserving the original aspect ratios, colours, and frame rates. This accurately delivers the director's original vision, so you experience the film the way they intended.

Get the full range of enjoyment.
LG's own dynamic range technology, HDR 10 Pro, adjusts brightness to enhance colour, reveal every tiny detail, and bring lifelike clarity to every image — it also intensifies regular HDR content. Now all your favorite movies and shows will be more vivid and vibrant from beginning to end.

OLED Gaming.
LG OLED TV puts you ahead of the game with swift response, the latest gaming features, and a 120Hz display for a smoother playing experience. This is the ultimate TV for your gaming setup.

An unbeatable combo.
LG continues to work with industry-leading companies to ensure you get the best possible gaming experience. We partnered with NVIDIA and AMD to make LG OLED TV the only G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync™ Premium certified TV. And on top of that, we joined forces with Xbox to unleash the full potential of next-gen gaming, becoming the official TV partner of the Xbox Series X console. Combine all this with the stunning picture quality and ultra-fast response times of OLED and you're guaranteed to get the most out of gaming every time you play.

Play at the highest standard.
LG OLED TVs are capable of a 1ms response time, while support for VRR, ALLM, and eARC meets the latest HDMI 2.1 specifications. These features allow fast-moving content in higher resolution and smooth, synchronized graphics to give you a more lifelike experience and a better chance of winning. Additionally, OLED C1 and G1 are now the world's first TVs to support the incredible Dolby Vision® HDR at 4K 120Hz for gaming, enhancing the playing experience to previously unseen levels.

Complete and convenient control over game settings.
Game Optimizer provides optimized settings for various game genres including FPS, RPG, and RTS. You can access everything in one place for greater control over picture and sound. And toggle VRR, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and AMD FreeSync™ technologies. The new Game Dashboard is a simplified menu that lets you quickly check or make adjustments to certain game settings on the fly — all during gameplay. While the dashboard is open, you can go back to the optimizer to access more settings or change the color of the gaming style head up display.

OLED Sport.
LG OLED TV shows every play in all its realistic glory. Fast sporting action with smooth motion means being a spectator has never been so spectacular — you've now got a front row seat to all the best sporting events.

You've never seen movement like this.
Advanced motion handling technology reduces motion blur to deliver smoother action and a clearer viewing experience. Witness the quick and subtle detail of every play even during fast-paced sport.

Brains that will blow your mind.
At the core of every LG OLED TV is the α9 Gen4 AI Processor 4K, a groundbreaking chip that uses deep-learning algorithms to analyze and optimize content. Every adjustment to picture and sound is automatic, so everything you watch is spectacular.

Super tempting at this price! How much of an upgrade is this going to be over a 5 year old, mid range Samsung 4k TV?
    brain_stew's avatar
You'd be going from bright glowing blacks to perfect blacks. From smeary motion to the best motion money can buy. From 60hz to 120hz. From fixed refresh to VRR. From SDR to excellent HDR. From middling input lag to the lowest latency TV you can buy. For the money there's no better universal upgrade you could do. For most content it's a massive upgrade and for gaming it's completely and utterly transformative. As I've said in previous posts this is the literal peak of gaming TVs/displays there is. No other model (including LG's latest) has as complete a featureset for gaming as this.

Hi sorry to be a pain every1, but can somebody explain the differences between the different LG C1/ CS models please? I believe i seen somewhere that 1 of them has a worse panel?
    MagnificentNo7's avatar
CS had the C2 chipset in it but has all the innards of the C1 it'd basically a hybrid of both. Not as good as the C2 but better (slightly) than the C1

Ready to finally go for this and upgrade the TV

Got Currys to price match plus can trade in and old TV for an extra £50 off

With perks in work vouchers can get this for £663 after trade in of an old 32 inch gathering dust

My only concern with Currys is how effective the 5 year guarantee will be

Is the £96 saving worth it over JL or Richer Sounds guarantee. By using the perks in works voucher I would also void any credit card protection. Decisions....
    t3r4's avatar
Leave a small amount off the gift card. If you pay even 1p of a purchase by credit card the whole value is covered by section 75 protection.

I've got a C2 in order for £985. I'm considering cancelling it and ordering this, saving over £200. I'll be using the TV for watching TV shows and movies.

Is the C2 worth the extra money or should I go for the C1? (edited)
    gixxerguyk8's avatar
I have 55” C1 in one room and 55” C2 in sunny cinservatory .. the c2 is brighter but biggest difference is weight if you want to wall Mount it I’d say get the C2 as much easier to lift

Is this worth upgrading too over my current Samsung tv. 55" NU8000

You need to decide for yourself, but just a word of warning - once you get on the OLED-bandwagon, pretty much everything else will look ordinary.

FYI i bought 48" one of these for my desk it was too big as my desk was not Wide enough , Hillsradio refunded me without any Hassle at all , good company , and when i get a new desk i will probs buy from them again
    Wooj's avatar
Did you plan to use as a 48inch monitor?! That's biiig!
  7. CharlesLeeRay's avatar
Fantastic deal and would buy in a heartbeat but 55" is just too big for my needs.

Ordered the Lg OLED48A26LA for sub £600, after cashback.
  8. andrew_c77's avatar
This has gen 4 a9 not a gen 5 a9. Not that it matters but just in case it causes confusion.
  9. ash_6iG's avatar
    @AJ10

This TV has an a9 Gen4 processor. The overview you have pasted is wrong.

    Great Deal
  10. jordygilly's avatar
Is the CS better? Went into richer sounds and because they don't have the C1 in stock have offered me the CS for £759 instead of ordering it in
    Leonh's avatar
The CS is a C1 panel with c2 processor so yes better get it!
  11. MagnificentNo7's avatar
Does anyone know what number means 4LA 6LA etc?

It's the region and the trim. So just how it looks

Is this a reputable retailer? Warranty?
    andrew_c77's avatar
Yes. Euronics dealer with a great reputation.
  13. Taksim_Red's avatar
In previous years has there been a particular part of the year when previous models such as this took a substantial drop in price?
    Bear1231's avatar
Yes Easter or now when the new models arrive. Also before or after Christmas when the new models have lost there initial momentum.
  14. gummby's avatar
What are you all using for HDMI cables? 2.1 HDMI cables?

You buy a cheap one and it can cause so many issues. Got 2 hours 40 to decide.
    Bella_Ciao's avatar
Get a Kenable High Speed Certified cable. Thank me later!
  15. allginger's avatar
    Anyone else bought from Hills??
  16. SirAlexCR7's avatar
Would these have the evo panel? It would be interesting to find out.
    Bella_Ciao's avatar
Evo panels came in 2022 with C2 & G2, so no this won't have an Evo panel as this is a 2021 model. (edited)

So I ordered from hills early this morning at like 5am. Checked back this afternoon and my order was still pending, I thought theres a possibility they could run out of stock? So i called Richer Sounds Romford at 3pm, asked if they will price match, they go we don't have the C1 in stock but we have one CS in stock that we can price match for you? Come and collect, we close at 4!

I rushed down and happily paid 769 for the 55" CS 😁😁, they go if it was the C1 it would have been £10 cheaper but I wasn't complaining..

Now need to cancel the Hills order but they close their office hours early, will cancel tomorrow, all in all pretty chuffed, guys do try price match, worst case you get a tenner off, best case, you could end up with the CS!
    gummby's avatar
Interesting they are willing to do the CS like another suggested at the same price. Suggesting they probably want to clear both before C3 comes out.

That's everything not to do with a TV in one pic
  20. brain_stew's avatar
With 120hz BFI and better none standard resolution support that has been dropped in later models this is still the best all around gaming TV you can buy. Completely flexible and excellent low latency across the board it's a bargain at this price. If gaming is your primary use case then buy one before they're gone.
    gummby's avatar
AT present I use a PC for most of my games. I was thinking of going Civ 6 on Xbox but I think it will run better on PC. More ram and better graphics.
  21. BorisBargain's avatar
    Another great deal 🔥
  22. MagnificentNo7's avatar
I finally bit at this price. Phoned Richer Sounds and they price matched with the 6 year warranty...if you want delivery they price match if you want the £759 price it's a store pick up. They guy said its an incredible price for this TV ...can't wait. Thanks to everyone on here for info given to help me make the jump into Oled. Much appreciated.
    gummby's avatar
No idea why they can't offer the pricebeat online. The person at store arranged delivery for free. They had no C1 left in store. I fail to see the difference? Both ways they are paying for delivery.
  23. isotonic12's avatar
Need one of these deals that deliver to NI
    slippers1977's avatar
    Agreed!
  24. Taksim_Red's avatar
Might hold out for £699. People adamantly told me my 55" C9 wouldn't go any lower than £1,150 but it did.
    Thongmas's avatar
I thought that too but decided to bite at £759 from RS. I thought maybe they'll refund the difference if I see it drop any lower in the next week or two.
  25. steamed.hams's avatar
Thanks for this one OP. Just been in to my local RS who did the price beat and got it for 759. They had one left in stock, I’ve just set it up at home and seems a cracker of a TV! Cheers

Could not resist at this fantastic price. Collected from Rs this afternoon for 759.00 and now all setup. The 120hz on xbox x is really something else. Thanks op for this post.

Small post of appreciation to people who actively provide advice to others on here. Got mine up on the wall today. Absolutely stunning, the difference is night and day going from led to oled.

    I'm pleased I got the 48 c2 for 789. Before Black friday.
  33. m_undersingh's avatar
Hoping the 77 inch drops below 2k with all these 55 deals coming in now
  34. Kazloav's avatar
I've my trusty LG C9 from 2020, 1`2 hrs a day, every day, and not a blemish on the screen. and as much as i'm itchin to replace it with whatever new OLED brings us in 2023, there is just no point. There are 2 factors for me that are crucial for an OLED, (1. its an LG OLED/2. it has HDMI 2.1X 4). and nothing much has improved from the C9, small improvements, yet none for me to upgrade, i would see little difference.
Saying that, this C1 for £769 is a no brainer for the Gamer/movie buff, you will not regret buying an OLED....no sir. (edited)
    Alf.Garnett's avatar
Agreed my b9 55 for over 3 years now it gets used 3-6 hours a day and with a pc connected to it all the time as main source for gaming and media. .

Hopefully get another 3-4 years untill I upgrade. Also the b9 speakers are excellent and also decodes dts etc that's been removed from newer models.

    £769 is a bargain
  35. gummby's avatar
100% no from a BX. Better things to spend £769 on.
    TheJMan's avatar
    A BX?
  36. gummby's avatar
Okay TV acquired for £759 from Richer Sounds. I am entering the modern world.

RS get C3 in next week at which point the C2 will come off display.

So I need a HDMI cable for Xbox and a Optical cable for Magic Dac.
  37. Taksim_Red's avatar
Well I've caught the bug. Thinking about buying one of these to replace an 8 year old main bedroom 48" Samsung UE48H6200 Smart TV. Already have a 55" C9 in the living room as part of any cascade.

Original plan had been to buy one for my son, as a moving in present, but it's his 21st this summer so he's going to want something big then anyway so might just get him some cheaper furtuniture for now.

I was considering holding out for £699 but at almost 2000° it's becoming increasingly difficult to resist.
  38. bgriffin0's avatar
Can this be used with a wall Mount? Trying to find it in the spec

Expired for now but I still think this will go even lower.
