Optimised for the best response with movies, gaming and Smart TV, the LG OLED55CS6LA is a top performer with all content.

100% colour fidelity with OLED
Rather than using a backlight, OLED TVs feature self-illuminating pixels. This SELF-LIT technology means that the LG OLED55CS6LA delivers 100% colour fidelity, infinite contrast with the deepest depth and stunning detail. Even after all these years, OLED still remains one of the finest TV screen technologies.

100Hz/120Hz panel for the smoothest motion
Upgrading on the more basic LG OLED TVs, this LG 55 inch TV features a premium 100Hz/120Hz panel. Refreshing at twice the rate of standard TVs gives smoother motion, greater detail and much improved game play – especially with the latest games consoles.

Alpha 9 Gen 5 processing for improved sound and vision
Now in its fifth generation, LG’s mighty Alpha 9 processor optimises sound and vision for spectacular results. Using AI technology, the picture and sound are optimised to best suit the genre – be it movies, sport, gaming or regular TV. With enhancements to picture tone-mapping, background enhancement and upscaling, picture processing is more advanced than ever. Virtual sound channel up-mixing increases from 5.1.2 to 7.1.2, giving an even more enveloping sound on this LG 55 inch OLED TV.

Featuring AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro for professional sound and vision
AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro harness artificial intelligence to stunning effect. AI Picture Pro uses deep-learning algorithms to recognise content, remove noise and optimise the picture. AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here, it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality.

Ultimate detail - Dolby Vision IQ
For ultimate detail, in all environments, this LG OLED features Dolby Vision IQ. Dolby Vision IQ version uses data within the signal and light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is. Whether you’re watching a brightly lit sports event or moody movie, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts to suit.

HDR made better, with HDR10 Pro
LG’s powerful processing also helps in getting the very best from HDR10 material. Whether watching movies or gaming with HDR10 games, HDR10 Pro intensifies the regular HDR experience. HDR10 Pro automatically adjusts the brightness, enhancing colour and detail for a more vivid picture.

See the picture exactly as originally intended, with Filmmaker Mode
If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Made for gaming – with Game Optimiser and more
The improved Game Optimiser utilises an enhanced gaming menu, giving you quick access to important settings. There are now five game genre presets, including a new one for sports games. Equipped with 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 sockets*, this LG TV is designed to get the very best from today’s, and future, games consoles. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) mean that your TV automatically adjusts to the optimised settings for gaming – giving you a smoother and faster response.

Dolby Atmos compatible sound
With a Dolby Atmos processor built-in this LG 55” TV decodes Atmos sound tracks - giving you the potential for even more immersive sound. With its built-in woofer and 40 watt amp, the OLED55CS6LA produces a rich, full-bodied sound.

Welcome home, with LG webOS 22 – the best in Smart TV
Widely regarded as one of the best Smart TV platforms, LG’s webOS system continues to set the standard. The latest webOS 22 offers improved personalisation and recommendations. You can create up to six personalised profiles, with individual viewing suggestions, sport alerts and app lists.

NFC Magic Tap for content mirroring around your home
You can access your webOS TV profile via your smartphone with the NFC Magic Tap app. Even better, NFC Magic Tap lets you mirror content from your mobile to the TV – and not just a single TV. You can mirror content from one TV in your home, to another, using the Room To Room Share function. This lets you view cable or satellite content on multiple screens, without the need for additional set-top boxes.

The hub of your home entertainment – with voice control
Featuring LG’s ThinQ AI technology, you can control a Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition. With both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, it makes it even easier to control your LG OLED TV and quickly access the entertainment you’re looking for.

Top TV performance has rarely looked so good than with the LG OLED55CS6LA.

Warranty support shocking from JL and LG. New C2 65" faulty from opening and still waiting for these jokers to fix it. Took over 3 weeks up till now. Will not purchase again from either.

    Yeah i have to agree.

Although it wasn’t a TV, i remember having to claim a JL warranty fix on my iPhone X a couple of years ago. Such a hassle, took a month and what felt like a lot of unnecessary interrogation!

Waiting on JL to do a deal on the 55" C2 so I can get their warranty cover and also interest free credit with it

Very have the 55inch C2 for £1022 after using 20% off code and an extra 1.7% off with tcb. Not sure what their warranty is like though.

£899 seems expensive as RS were apparently matching RGB a week or so ago on C1 and then offering CS model (At same price) if they had no C1 in stock.

Not sure what LG plan is for now. Are they still producing C1 and CS models? My C1 was built in December 2022. Some places still have limited CS stock. RGB still selling C1 for 749. Is it really worth £150 more?

RS doing C1 at £799 but only 1 year warranty now. Some predict a CS2 model come H2. C1 can't stay around forever. How much stock is LG still trying to clear or is it a budget model for them now?

AFAIK the CS is the C1 panel with a C2 processor. It might(?) be worth the £150 extra if you don't use a Chromecast/Fire Stick but as the panel is the same I'm not sure its worth the extra.

Any idea why there are loads of deals on 55 inch but no real scorching deals on anything larger? I'm after a replacement for a 65" and I really don't want to have to go down in size!

I also am waiting for a 65, unfortunately the price from 55 is on an exponential curve to the 65 and above.

Why does everyone rave on about John Lewis? Both in-store and online are totally useless when it comes to enquires and support! A friend of mine recently purchased a C2 Evo from them and later developed a fault, they didn't want to know. Customer services even said it would be quicker to deal with LG direct, guess what... it was! 3 weeks and they had a new TV under warranty. JL 5 year warranty is BS, I bought the 42" C2 Evo for £699 a few months ago and thankfully it was elsewhere and think LG has some of the best OLED screens to date, you can't go wrong with the CS model.

I assume the experience is just very mixed. I always had a great experience up until recently. I think they are cost cutting currently.

Still waiting for a 48c, prices still way too high, guess limited choice and production so could be a while?
  8. George_Papadopoulos's avatar
Should I pull the trigger for this one or wait for c2 to drop below 1k?
    gummby's avatar
I think this should fall. When is another matter. Who actually has stock? Is LG sitting on stock? Are they still making them in volume?
  9. Nathan2087's avatar
Should I buy this TV or should I buy an 8 series TCL? I’ve seen the C815K/C825K/C835K all dramatically drop in price to around the £450/£550 mark in the last couple of weeks, especially on eBay. I’m leaning towards this LG a little more but what does everyone think?
