    The fork needs filling with oil to get decent and consistent performance. Guides available online.

    The fillers they use on the welds are also a bit ropey.....will fall off (along with your paint) within a couple of years of decent use

    I would also advise filling the tyres with cement too otherwise the wheels and saddle will fall off.*

    I have the exact bike in large in the green/grey colour that im in the process of selling to a friend for £250 as i replaced it with a Nukeproof Scout Comp after owning the Boardman for a year.

    Honeslty, no complaints. It was my first bike since I was a kid and had me falling in love with touring around the woods and through the country side. I paid £650/£700 15 months ago.

    Think is the same fork that came on my Bizango and swapping the grease for Fox Fluid on my first service made a noticeable improvement to small/fast bump sensitivity (cobblestones, gravel ect). It’s good with the grease but better with oil is probs the best way to look at it

    While your servicing you can also move a pin in the air side and up the travel to 130mm

    Boardmans are great bikes, I’ve had two but I won’t buy another as they tend to us limited run parts that are had to find a few years in. I struggled to find a crankset, and gears to fit after a lot of trying.

    Just change it up, they're standard parts. I fitted a new BB and cranks on my MHT.
