Does this come with a remote? It's not listed or pictured.

Yes, it shows it on the last photo

Really underwhelming. Was expecting at least Sub £100 and kind of hoping for £79.99.

Was looking at this but compared to other deals, that's a really poor discount. 100% wait for prime day and see if it goes cheaper.

agreed! also not as good as apple tv

I don't think the specs anyway justify the extra money for the cube over the normal 4k firestick. £35 v £110 for what doesn't seem like a significant increase is specs. Happy to be educated if I'm off the mark?

I think that's a fair assessment. I wanted one just for the novelty of it being completly voice activated without the need for the controller.

Great first deal. Thanks for sharing

As the op mentions, use the trade-in option there to get at least 20% off - example with an old NowTV box. This was already registered for trade-in when the last FS Max offer was on, which I never got around to doing...

I was thinking of jumping on this with trade-in but it won't accept a first gen firestick or a firestick basic - only 2nd generation up is allowed as trade-in as well as chromecast and robust sticks.

Or does the following highlight mean previous generation 'to' 2nd generation? #clutching

Apparently twice as fast than the 4K Max which, if true, is impressive as the 4K Max is impressively silky smooth.

It is faster definitely but twice as fast not sure

Don’t bother if you want to run virgin to the hdmi 2 Port as it doesn’t work even though Amazon says it does
    BargainHunta96's avatar
You mean the Virgin Box? I've seen a few reviews of people mentioning compatibility issues with Virgin.

Does this do 4k HDR/Dolby Vision and Atmos? I had the cube (was either 1st or 2nd gen) but it couldn’t do 4k hdr for some reason. Customer service told me they can’t do that, so I had to return it.

Apparently yes it does "Picture quality that puts on a show: feel every scene with true-to-life, cinematic 4K and support for Dolby Vision, HDR and Dolby Atmos audio."

Anyone got Xbox gamepass sideloaded on one of these? It won't work in a 4k firesticknbut if this is faster has anyone had any joy?

I have the slightly older cube, is it worth upgrading?
  12. Tarquin8484's avatar
I don't see why, unless you have some kind of issue with the older one. You'd be better off waiting until you need to upgrade stuff. The £30 discount isn't enough to panic about missing a super deal. (edited)

Has anyone managed to add the pro remote for a tenner? Costing just under £120 in total
  14. anuruddha's avatar
    This or Apple TV 4K?
  15. Sniffer77's avatar
Bit poor , i would have bought if under £100 but sadly not .
I’ve an old fire stick but again sadly it won’t let me use that for the 20% off

Has anyone else got one / ordered one? I just got mine, but an internet speed test with the ethernet cable attached is saying 20mbit. But on my laptop I get 300mbit?!
    Iain's avatar
Ethernet is 10/100. Could it have been downloading an update or other apps at the same time?

Do you have WiFi 6? Likely a better option if so.

Thank you. I was able to use an Amazon Fire TV First Generation for the 20% disc plus £2.91 gift card credit. I just need to find a working remote to go with it. (edited)

Working remote to go with what?

Anyone else notices with Fire TV cube 2nd gen which is what I have when playing 4k content it glitches, the box becomes unresponsive and when it does come back to normal, the voice is out of sync? The box is connected to an LG 4K Oled TV. When I use Prime via the TV software it plays fine. I'm. hoping the box will fix this issue
