Why is this a deal? It is always this price for Students?

anyone manage to get this offer without a ac.uk domain?

Register as an apprentice at apprenticeextra.co.uk £12 for a student card for 1 year. Use ur normal/personal email (eg Gmail). When it asked for place for study pop in Geason Training. Then email a picture of ur student card to amazon at amazon-student-verification@amazon.co.uk.

I can't even get near prime student, Amazon will not take me to the page

Think you can only have student prime for 3 or 4 years! They wouldn't give it me after that

    New email address....bingo

my student prime ran out yesterday and had a email saying i can’t have anymore as been with them 4 years , used another account and signed up using totum card as proof and approved in 20 mins

    Awesome I'll do the same

'twas a sad day in 'ol The_Circle's life when, after trying to renew my student membership, they told me student membership is only for a maximum of 4 years.

I just made another account on a different email address and resubmitted my totum card

They didn’t even… ask me for proof???? I have half a year of prime now
  9. sheffield788's avatar
This popped up on my account about 18 months ago. I've not been a student for a very long time. I clicked, and it worked. They never asked for a student e-mail, so I'm on this since 18 months ago.

Me too, and I was made the offer on another account a couple of months back but I'll cancel that when the free trial finishes. I'm a pensioner BTW (edited)

remember when that deal came along about 3 years ago for a totum card (NUS card) for AEP education online? that was decent.
    itchyone's avatar
Yeh I'm still with them. Cracking course..

    Ahem.. cough

I think I'm very lucky. I signed up to student prime years ago using one of those fake courses and emailed my NUS extra card.

When the student expired after a few years, the CS guy just renewed it for me without proof and i've been on £4.49 ever since!
    kfitzat's avatar
They only renew it up to 4 years, unfortunately

Accounts that have had free trials of prime in the past sometimes can glitch to a student account, had it happen about 2-3 times now, never asked for proof
    Karl_Plummer's avatar
Same for me, I had it last August for 6months and then continued as a Student.
I only had the question of when my enrollment year was

I am amazon student for 10 years in a row
    edengarden's avatar
    How did you do that

It's usually 4 years only (edited)

I created an officially-looking letterheaded PDF and emailed it to Amazon. Accepted within 30 minutes - haven't been a student in 10 years

My son is in year 7 in school.. ..can I register on his name? Technically he is student
    The2Time's avatar
    A joke surely?

Anyone know if signing up to an open university course gets you student benefits for prime?
    alfiesred47's avatar
If you get an ac.uk email address then it should work, yeh
  18. Tony-Stark's avatar
    haha you guys!
  19. rrrr21's avatar
Did it display when you need to claim this by? Couldn't see anything in the T&C's.
  20. BIGGZY's avatar
Do you need to enter the ac.uk email address where it asks or can you add a standard email address?
    CynicalNurse's avatar
Need an ac.uk address or send them photo "proof" you are a student, the accepted list is very wide and they seem to refuse almost no-one.
  21. Heat777's avatar
Is Prime Student the same as normal Prime or do you miss out on anything like same-day shipping? Usual price of 8.99 is the same so why would anyone choose Student over normal Prime? Am I missing something?
    Dealzzz105's avatar
Student Prime is 50% of the cost of normal. This deal offers 6 months free.

Just FYI : not all ac.uk emails will work. I work at a research firm and my email is ac.uk ; still that email is not eligible

    My link is m
Not working its taking me to an amazon page telling me about prime but theres nowhere to click and order student prime
  25. BIGGZY's avatar
Why is it on some phones when clicking the link, it takes you to the page but shows as £4.49 and not the 6mth free for studeny prime. Also seems to be saving all card details from the account previous which was logged out of

Ok so tried the process and used ac email, all ok UNTIL it asked to enter 6 digit code from MSF Authenticator! Wtf.. Just to access the ac email inbox, yet it didnt throw up the code, but just a 2 digit number that does nothing and nowhere to click next, on authenticator. Tried all sorts to get in to inbox but just gave up as not sure why this silly 2fa was needed and still doesnt actually work.

Could not find a work around as i am guessing the only thing remaining was to get to the inbox and click the verification link which ive not been able to access.
    So annoying
