Was looking specifically for Newcastle flights as you don't often see holidays flying from here posted on hotukdeals, and saw this one in the height of summer (17/8) for two adults, bed and breakfast, staying at the Theo hotel (THEO HOTEL - Updated 2023 Reviews (Stalos, Greece)) baggage included with transfers

This family-run hotel delivers plenty of rural charm, along with hearty Greek cooking.

This hotel is on a quiet country road, about a 10-minute walk from a village where you’ll find shops, bars and restaurants. And it’s about the same distance to the sand-and-shingle Blue Flag beach.

The pool is at the back of the hotel, giving it a secluded feel. It’s got great views over the nearby hills. There’s a restaurant serving home-cooked Greek specialities, while the bar’s known for its whiskies.

Holidays here come with our 24/7 Online service. This means that info and support are available 24/7 via the TUI app. Just so you know, a TUI rep won't visit your hotel during your stay.

Pools
The pool has a private spot behind the hotel, and really makes the most of its panoramic views over the surrounding hills and olive groves. Read More

Food & Drink
The restaurant has a covered terrace with views over the hills and olive groves. In the mornings it serves a Continental or cooked breakfast, with freshly baked bread.
In the evenings, the restaurant serves home-cooked Greek dishes, alongside grilled steaks and fish. There are also international favourites like pizza. Read More

Entertainment
At Saturday’s Greek night, local musicians play Greek music, while dancers perform in traditional costume. Later, you’ll get chance to join in yourself. There’s also a quiz night.
There’s a large lounge bar with comfy chairs where you can unwind with a drink – the hotel’s known for its excellent whisky collection. Read More

Sports & Activities
There’s excellent hiking around here – the well-known Corfu Trail is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Facility Summary
You’ll get a real feel for Greece here, with the friendly owners and traditional décor. As you relax by the pool you’ll be able to soak up the panoramic views, and if you get peckish there are traditional home-cooked dishes on offer for you to try. And to top it all off there's a weekly Greek night.

Rooms
Rooms here are very laid back and simple. They are decorated in light soft colours with bold accents. You'll have a choice of twin rooms which sleep up to 2 or 3, and can have the added comfort of air-conditioning for an extra charge.

    My twopennerth…

Went to Benitsis in May, whole island seems to have suffered badly from Covid, many bars and restaurants closed/boarded up which is a great shame. Maybe it was early in the season ?

Meals out seem to be expensive, main meals 18-20 Euro.

    Beer  4-5 Euro.

Local wine is reasonable and not too dear though.

This hotel charges extra for A/C better check cost before you take the plunge because you ARE going to need it!

I agree with above- Greece and cyprus seem to out priced themselves- then all the extras -aircon, safe, not to mention most are only 2 stars, and food and drink prices through the roof! I know everyone took a hit with covid but this is robbery

Excellent Mr Switch. Your deals are excellent.
I am looking for a good deal for Disneyland Paris from London in July/August. I couldn't find one yet :-( (edited)

Agree with the above. Not a chance especially with those dates, everyone with kids wants those. So personally, I’d just book it or find another holiday (edited)

Paid over double this just for a bronze caravan for a week at haven without play passes! Great deal

Wow this is very nice! I booked on the same beach for twice the money, gutted..

But you probably got there and back safely or without much hassle. TUI seem to be unreliable and very customer unfriendly when things go whacko. (edited)

Nice but basic hotel - the village nearby was also where some of the movie “For Your Eyes Only” were filmed.

Biggest issue will be transfers - it’s a long way away from the airport, so just expect 90-ish minute times. Hiring a car or taxi will get you there cheaper, just more expensive.

Or that, now, Corfu follows Rhodes and mainland Greece with fires!
