Can anyone recommend a decent case to get? I find the rgb looks really naff. I'm a bit clueless on what to get, will what's being offered change things that much? Or is it all aesthetic at this point?

I'm considering getting the CORSAIR CARBIDE 200R MIDI Black.

The BE Quiet Base 500 can be added, and it has 140mm fans which are better at cooling and quieter than 120mm fans you see in most. No RGB or window either which for me is a bonus.

Also not sure what I'm doing wrong, I've selected the above options and I'm always on £1,009.99. Anyone know if something is selected that I can't see?

Looking to get this with a white case for my wife, does anyone know if the Lian-Li Lancool 215 would work? Or the FRACTAL Pop Air?
    runnybabbit's avatar
Can't see why you wouldn't be able to transplant this into any ATX case. I built in a Pop Air recently for a mate and it took a full ATX board and massive MSI RX 6800 no problem.

Very hot. I got a rig almost identical but with a 6700XT 4 or so months ago for almost the same price. Decided to get better cooling & 32GB RAM. Would love to have gotten the 4070 instead for pretty much the same price!

Worth noting that these will email you afterwards asking if you want upgrades like next day delivery, Windows & Cable management. If you decline they’ll offer again and for a cheaper price. Heard some people say that they got stuff like improved cooling bundled in with it, but I can’t confirm this first hand (edited)

I wouldn't "upgrade" to the Gigabyte 750w, it's the F-tier P750GM of dubious quality (known to literally blow up). £20 on top of that for 850w beQuiet gives you more wattage and reliability, it's a no-brainer. Also I would take up the promo +£55 for 32GB 3600 MHz RAM.

These are V2 edition as previous stated. And loaded have them by Awd palicomp systems with no issues.

Any Pros and Cons with this build, looking to buy for someone else and 4070 is good but not too knowledgeable about the other parts

One of the cheapest just got cheaper.

Slight fall in parts justify some decrease, but doesn't actual make any sense why they would though in prebult land as it's slow movements around.

The original of there's is this but with a520 board and basic PSU at 950 down from 1000.00

(That's where the market in the comp happen)

With the boost of this psu and board it still makes it 1025

Then we had my back door that feature the 850w at 1025 when they bought out the "3060ti" link.

Now since they bought out the "3050" link we can do it for 997 for the 850w or 977 for the 750w.

It's a budget case which is nicely done, does the job good,

The board is an entry level b series, PSU is V2 of gigabytes so that corrects alot of previous issues, nvme is low speed gen4 so not the highest.

It's got an am4 CPU that u could upgrade to ones out it's 6 foire 12 thread CPU

new range on ryzen are on ddr5.

It's all about the GPU. Otherwise sub 1k with ddr5 aTM is Awd

7600+4060ti that starts at 900 with 480 SSD under the basic PSU and topped up to this level of PSU and storage be about 950

    7600+4060ti Vs 5600x +4070

    Overall winner is 5600x+4070

If u want to add some 3rd part air cooler u can such as the
be quiet at 40 will decrease temps further then stock.

Extra ram is a nice addition to 32gb but not nes needed yet for the majority of the time can do this after.

If u got 1300 jump ship to 7600/4070ti by them under my name.

There giving u the TI rather then non ti inline with best market prebult calcs.

Time u take the best ddr5 4060ti that is exclusive at pcpp rates and rare as hell for one to be then recald price gap to 4070 then all extras they have, that is an outstanding deal when u compare pcpp rates.

In reality a "price gap" that should exist between all 3 GPUs with our Nvidia price gap he'll if u get the punt.

So this one is worth looking over at around 1000. With few adjustments if u want to make certain upgrades as mention but if Ur the one that is changing this n changing that and ending up at 1200 time to look at the other ti link.

So it's budget way into a 4070 system

Pre-builds seem just as much/little as building it yourself nowadays
    XiaofengXiaofeng_Xiaofeng's avatar
Prebuilts have very bad component selection and they are still mark up like £150. Also prebuilts have terrible warranty.

    Self built pc typical warranty:

    Cpu = 3 years

    Mobo = 3 years usually

    Ram = often lifetime

Psu = usually 10 years now for any good model.

Gpu = typically 2-3 years, depends on company. Evga was long but they're gone.

    Ssd = usually 5 years.

In comparison prebuilts typically have 1 year warranty. You'd be very lucky to get any more than 1 and even the best / paid "extra" warranty is usually only 3 years. Also dealing with warranty on a prebuilts is a nightmare and usually means the entire PC has to be sent away.

Sorry this is my third time posting on this deal.

    I'm currently at:

    PROMO BOARD - A520 to ASUS PRIME B550M-K : +£40.00
    PROMO RAM - 16GB 3200 to CORSAIR 32GB 3600MHZ : +£55.00
    PROMO - CHANGE 480GB SSD to ADATA 1TB LEGEND 800 : +£30.00
    PROMO PSU - 700W to BEQUIET 850W 80+ GOLD : +£60.00

    nVIDIA | GeForce RTX 4070 12GB - HDMI-DP - VR Ready : +£368.00

Which totals up to 1052.99 - Is this still a good deal with the extras or can I find something similar for cheaper?

Also looking to add the Lian-Li Lancool 215 - White Case which will add an extra £64, thanks!

Looks like a fantastic deal. I'm interested in the 4070ti as apparently it is 20% better than the 4070, but it's also 20% more expensive, but it sort of future proofs it. I want something that will last a few years but the 4090 is tooooooo expensive.
I find it all very confusing and the price keeps going up as I add more.
I play a lot of PCVR and some mods need to project things twice so need good computing power.
NVidia graphics cards are the bee's knees for VR. I'm not sure if Intel processors make any difference, I know I have a razen with my rtx 2060 and it worked a dream for several years.
Is it worth going for DDR5 ram and what mother board should I use. I get the impression that Dlss3 and other things on the 40xx series are worth it for the future.
I am thinking the 2TB M.2 ssd to put my regular games and windows on. is it ok to have an ordinary hard drive with this or for the price is the SSD price better than 3 years ago or is a hybrid drive the way to go.
Is it worth better cooling elements for a meatier machine.
Sarden84 I didn't understand how to access your 7600/4070ti which you said was under your name.
I think the 32GB ram makes sense. Is it worth going for the faster RAM? My son is 16 and also into gaming and my other kids will no doubt follow with faster games. We already have RDR2 which seems to work fine in my current system but I imagine will look a lot better on a better computer.
Any recommendations on a balanced system or ideas that are cost effective for future upgrades.
My last one cost 1K and has lasted me well. I am looking at up to £1500 for this one.

Well I ordered the stuff for a self build which started arriving today, motherboard tomorrow, case Sunday and GPU Monday unless the company delivers on Saturday. I'll have to use the onboard graphics to set up the motherboard ready for the GPU to arrive.
    I bought:
Ryzen 7800x3d with free starfield game, RTX 4070ti Tuf, MSI Mag b650 tomahawk WiFi motherboard, 16x2 ddr5 ram, 2T M.2, Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB CPU cooler, Be Quiet 850w Power 12M, and a sexy Kolink Void case in white for £1776.60 all in delivered.
Hopefully it will be fun putting it together with my teenage son over the weekend and it should last many years.
And when I buy the Quest 3 in October it will work brilliantly with the WiFi 6e on the motherboard ready for the unreal 4 and 5 VR mods.
    XiaofengXiaofeng_Xiaofeng's avatar
If the WiFi isn't an Intel card it may be really bad and need swapping for an Intel ax 200 etc
  13. zonky's avatar
Do these things really use 750w? Thinking about moving to PC but my XSX uses less than 250 so is it worth the price difference for slightly better performance and bigger energy bills?
    Gorillasan's avatar
The performance on this will be significantly higher than a XSX...

Would this be a good PC for playing Call of Duty / Warzone? What FPS would I be able to get?

    TIA

Looks good deal to me. I went for the 3070 £1k Deal 6 months ago from them and have been very happy with the system
  16. SmashedITT's avatar
I got a 5800x and 6800xt pc I payed 2k 3 years ago so this is a very good deal to be honest I would upgrade to 32 GB ram tho (edited)

Meta and intel are cooperating on Wi-Fi 6e AX1690. I know it is in its infancy but I'm sure meta and the developer of virtual desktop will sort something out. They have done so much already. the board I was going to buy had both Intel and another WiFi 6e chip on it, but they sold out while I was deciding which card to get. I'll have to wait until October to see.
