Talkmobile uses Vodafone network as backbone so a good alternative to other networks for generous amount of data for people with low to medium data requirements.

    I was going to move to TalkMobile when EE couldn’t or wouldn’t do a deal for me recently (they came in once I’d requested my PAC though on all 4 sims), found them great on customer service and price. I got my brother to transfer to them and he’s very pleased with TM and their coverage around Cornwall is solid. I’d definitely go for this. (edited)

    My partner was on EE with me on a second sim. I've been with them for donkey years but they didn't do anything for me so did the same, jumped ship to TM and never looked back. Coverage all around is solid.

    Does anyone know at what point do the billing starts, when you activate the sim or from purchase

    It activates from purchase, but if you get in touch with them, and ask them to change billing to the date you activated the sim they might do that. They did for me.

    If Vodafone works for you then Talkmobile is a good choice. I have this deal, get the same speed and network coverage as I did with full fat Vodafone, but much better price.

    That’s a good question, currently with Voxi I can connect to Vodafone Wi-Fi on Underground, I wonder if it’s the same on TalkMobile?

    Was looking at this yesterday as I'm currently with Vodafone directly but they didn't have any good retention deals for me, so will switch to TM based on the positive reviews here, thanks guys.

    I was with Vodafone for 22 years, went to smarty for a month which was awful for me , so went back to Vodafone with Talkmobile. Much cheaper.

    That one increases to £9.95 after the first 3 months. It depends how how you're planning on remaining with them and if you want to switch after the discounted 3 months.

    Better deal agreed, on the face of it but you have got to take into account the different MVNOs/networks with different connectivity according to the locale and more importantly reliability of the providers in terms of customer services etc.

    Shame they dropped EU roaming.
    I've been using TalkMobile for around 9 months due to changing work and ID/Three not having signal inside the office (big tin box, Vodafone frequencies are more suited).

    Been mostly fine for me. Find Vodafone signal surprisingly lacking in a few places. Drops to H+ far more than I previously saw with ID/Three in the same areas/commute.

    Don't see 5G anywhere near as often as Three - and not as fast 5G when it is.

    But I'm sure many would say the opposite elsewhere in the country. (edited)

    The Talkmobile sims include roaming to many EU countries? (not sure if all - and how many in total... but looks quite comprehensive)
