    Great fans!

I have this model and the Duux Flex, which I picked up for £64.99 (Great deal / Expired now)

They are both great, but I do prefer the Meaco out of the two, for basic features and the amount of air it moves. It is a little louder, but it's moving more and it's not enough to bother me.

Build quality of the fan head itself is much more robust on the Meaco, although it is a deeper one. I don't use smart features or a mobile to control the Duux, so that's not really something I'm into. Happy with the standard remote (Just like the Meaco)

A downside to the Duux, for me at least, is the need to remove a section to make it smaller. It goes desk fan size which is nice, but would prefer it to be telescopic, like the Meaco (Which doesn't go to desk fan size, to be fair) Swings and roundabouts

I'd buy this if I didn't have one of each already, this pedestal version doesn't come down this low all that often.

Just got a Duux Flex and wonder how much air the Meaco is shifting if it feels like it’s moving more air than the Duux. I have it in the office and even on 1 (minimum setting) across the room I can feel a nice breeze

I bought one and for ages I thought the height adjustment was broken. But no. That is the max height.

The height is an absolute joke. It's like a toy fan for a child's room

Do they do heating... it's so cold today considering putting the heating on . I have the smaller version, great fans.

they do dehumidifiers with heaters built into them

B&Q have a very similar one (in terms of function & DC motored) on clearance currently at about £40 if you can find it in your local store.

Cracking price if you can get one.
May not have all the features of the overpriced Meaco, but it'll push air around the room for a lot less money.

Still happy enough with my £45 HOMCOM pedestal air circulator, isn't as quiet but shifts a lot of air.

In my opinion this fan is overrated and not that good unless it’s in a very small room and I do mean a box room! The remote is poor and the buttons on the base are useless. I find my cheap fan much better than this. Anyway, it’s just my opinion.

This is the cheapest I have seen this air circulator on a pedastal.
Discussions on here indicate that those that just want a fan and not an air cirulator will probably find better value elsewhere.

If you need an air circulator this is the best one I have found.

The up down actions of an air circulator is difficult to engineer reliably and you pay a premium for this feature.

    Great price.

I have this one, but I had to change it twice due to a squealing noise appearing within a week in the other two.
So far this is almost silent and moves plenty of air around the room.

Paid £82.50 for this one. Not bad of a price.

    Where and how?

Great price, I have just paid £112 from John Lewis. A fantastic fan, no assembly required and whisper quiet on the lower settings. Heat added

I have one and for the first few days it was perfect, probably the quietest fan I’ve heard but not long after, the motor started making an annoying noise, now it’s pretty inconsistent and really only does it at lower speeds. I’m not sure if I just got a defective unit or if this is pretty normal for these

Contact Meaco if it is under the two year warranty.

This is a great fan but the remote only has a 3m range. Next years model will have a 10m range.

they have. common fault, they start clicking after a while, had 2 replaced so far
    aing69's avatar
They recommend running at full speed for an hour or two to cure this

Great fan bought this from deal on here in July last year been very happy with it - little bit fiddly to take apart to clean but otherwise very pleased - not noisy unless on very fastest speed suits my conservatory well

Just found a major problem with these. I wanted one on a smart plug in our basement. Just went to set that up and set it running max speed etc. but as soon as you turn off the smart plug when you turn it back on again the fan has forgotten its settings and stays off!
