The right cleaning mode for the right task: Three cleaning modes optimised for a variety of tasks. The right balance of power and run time, where you need it.

Powerful cleaning on floors and carpets: An integrated digital motor spins the brush bar up to 60 times a second. It drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to remove dirt, while carbon fibre filaments capture fine dust on hard floors.

Intelligently reports in real time: Monitors system performance 8,000 times a second, then reports in real time on the LCD screen.

Unique battery power management system: Dyson’s power-optimising technology and battery-saving trigger help maximise run time, only using power when you need it.

‘Point and shoot’ hygienic bin emptying: The ‘point and shoot’ mechanism hygienically ejects dust and debris deep into your bin, in one action – so there’s no need to touch the dirt.

Drop-in docking: The Dyson V11™ vacuum drops into the wall-mounted dock, to charge it and tidily store tools. So it’s ready to grab and go.

The V11 was fantastic until the trigger switch broke, and Dyson do not sell this as a standalone part nor is it any easy repair - instead they wanted to charge £85 for a whole main body.

Their CEO and co-founder ignored two letters sent to them asking them to look at this well-known issue, so eventually I took action and raised a Section 75 claim who agreed it was a common complaint.

The finance have given me the money to cover the part Dyson want to sell me, only problem is it’s constantly out of stock, and now a supervisor at Dyson CS have confirmed it is an obsolete part!

So that’s four months and counting without a working vacuum cleaner, be warned…

The plastic trigger is available on Amazon as an after-market kit (inc screwdrivers) for £8.49 (B09PN5CF1N), and takes about 15 minutes to replace.

Just bought this refurbished from Dyson last week. I would have happily paid the extra £30 for a ‘brand new’ one. However the refurb looks brand new to me so not worth messing about.

The refubs sold on eBay are also brand new, when registered, it gave two year warranty

I advise to get the V12 slim model so much better and has an on and off button

Why is the v12 so much better?

I’ve been waiting months for a replacement black wand for my V11 and it is constantly out of stock. I’m not too impressed with their support team who take ages to even understand and grasp what a problem or issue is

You're the second reviewer in this thread who has waited sitting on their thumbs for months when you could have bought a replacement part for £20.

I get that you shouldn't have to wait or pay for warranty faults but I also recognise that my time has value.

Oh dear this is eye watering. I bought my v12 cost £629 with the stand. The stand is recommended but can be had for £100, so this is £150 cheaper - owch!

Do Dyson do a historic price match? Lol

*just checked and I bought mine in April and they only match 7 days. So that's a no then! (edited)

Thanks for flagging the price match. Bought the V11 for £350 two days ago from Dyson, so I've asked if they will match themselves. Don't ask don't get.

You need to pick the other color with the extra tools

And use the other code MSEV12 (edited)

Old Dyson knows how to churn these beasts out. A very good hoover, I must say .
    gg1pl's avatar
Not very beastly when they're only C rated for vacuuming carpets. It's a case of paying for the brand & image of a premium label, it's expensive so must be good & looks cool.

Can't imagine paying hundreds for something that's not even good at its job, even the £750 Gen5 is C rated!

Plus Dysons become landfill every few years due to so many plastic parts (edited)

I bought a V15 detect for £370 recently; I've been extremely pleased with it. Is the V11/12 superior or am I right to think V15 is better?

    Where from?

Is this better value than the normal V11 + free Floor Dok for £349.99 offer that comes around every so often? Currys was doing it a few months ago and John Lewis was doing it a few weeks ago, so not sure whether to wait for that offer or go for this? Is the difference with the Total Clean model that it comes with more attachments?
  10. GD1's avatar
Can anyone advise the differences between the v11 and v11 total clean please? I can’t seem to find any tables of comparisons. Thanks

Badly designed and badly made Dyson isn't the brand it once was, it's a shame now they are just overpriced rubbish.

Voted hot though as it's still a deal for someone who wants it. (edited)

Errghhh it was coming up as £250 in my basket but wanted to check with husband (who said yes) before checking out. Now it’s back to £380

Yeh absolutely gutted myself but opting Black Friday brings some deals

Managed to bag the V12 for £249.99 earlier. It was reduced to £399.99 on Dyson's website which went to £249.99 when applying the MSEV12 discount code

Me too, think I was one of the lucky few, just been dispatched too.

Anyone know if the v11 fits into the v10 wall dock?
    ms84's avatar
As far as I know the charger end will fit but as the V11 battery is slightly bigger it doesn't fit the wall dock
  15. yungy.tran's avatar
Very tempting……To buy V11 or V12???? Any suggestion guys???? Thanks

Hi all, I’m having trouble adding the MSEV11 code to the V11 Total Clean. Anyone found a way to do it? I’ve clicked the MSE link above, checked that it’s Iron/Black & price, when I add the promo code it says it’s invalid
    2Vpkx6_s's avatar
Solved the problem - used a computer instead of my iPhone!
