What's it all about?

  • Get 70% off variable percentage final value fees ("FVF") per listing in final value fees if the item sells and pay no insertion fee.
  • A fixed order level fee of 30p and other fees, including any International fees, still apply.
  • Promotion is valid for up to 100 listings on eBay.
  • Listings must start during the promotional period.
  • Listings can be auction-style or fixed price format.
  • The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to invited sellers.
  • Items must sell within the first listing period.

Sounds good, where do I find the promotion and how do I sign up?

You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk. Eligible sellers will receive an email with the RSVP link to the offer. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?

eBay charge an FVF when your item(s) sell(s). The FVF charged per order consists of: (i) a variable portion (“Variable Portion FVF”) which is calculated as a percentage of the Total Sale Amount; and (ii) a fixed portion (“Fixed Portion FVF”) for example 30p. The Total Sale Amount means the amount the buyer pays for an order, including the item price, postage, taxes and any other applicable fees.

The FVF Discount in this promotion applies to the Variable Portion FVF (net of any other discounts) in respect of the eligible items’ Total Sale Amounts. For example, if you would have been charged 12.80% on the Total Sales Amount, the 70% FVF discount will reduce this to 3.84%. The Fixed Portion FVF (e.g. 30p) will not be discounted. Therefore, the fixed charge of 30p per order will still apply.

You won't pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy.

You may also be subject to International fees.

The number of listings eligible under this promotion may be less where seller restrictions apply. Click here to learn more about selling allowances.

Say you have existing listings can you end them and relist at 70% fees?

I always click relist and never had a problem with the 70% off.

For anyone who’s previously accepted 80% off selling fees please don’t accept this because you’ll never likely get the 80% offer again. Just a heads up

There are different experiences here. If you try the "don't accept 70% so you will get 80% again" trick it might work. But then it might also backfire and you end up not getting 80% or 70%.

I had the three items at £1 FVF offer, which I think I had three times. I then got 80% a couple of times. I then got 70% which I didn't accept. And I didn't get another offer for months. I ended up asking them on chat whether they still do the 80% offer and I got told that if I wait I might see offers again. After another month or so, I got the 70% and have had them regularly for a couple of years now. Now, I always accept and list even if it is just one or two items.

The difference between 70% and 80% is also quite small. On a £50 item, the difference is fees paid is 64p. I'd rather sell regularly every couple of weeks with the 70% off than have to wait and hope I'd get the 80% again at some stage.

Not recieved any new offers for this whole year. Called in the summer to say why I am not getting them. They thanked me for being a member for 20 plus years, and said its random. However they feel I should be getting one really soon. Now in October and still no. Ebay is beyond a joke and the only way to get new offers, is to create a new account. Which says everything. Yet my 20 plus years, 100 percent feedback goes no where.

Exactly the same... Do they not realise I will never pay 10% again!

Am I able to build the listings now but schedule them to start within the promotion period, does anybody know?
    stingersplash's avatar
I'm pretty sure you need to list them during the 4 days. Even if you schedule it for later it goes off the day made.

It's starts from 6th of October to the 9th just 3 days... Thanks op, will set the reminder up..
    stingersplash's avatar

Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired.

They'll be an 80% off one so maybe that will work for you.
80% never works for me, just 70%.
Wife gets max £1 fee listing emails every 2 weeks.. Who knows how this all works? 🤷

I now only seem to get the 70%, but I'm now using FB more especially thanks to the RM price increases this week. It's cheaper to send large letters (eg dvds) packlink (Evri) at the moment. Expect everything from private sellers to go up this weekend when they realise they'll be selling stuff < £3 at a loss.
    stingersplash's avatar
    I've not noticed any increases.

hi all, anyone else had recently where you list something for local pick up and someone bids ands wins but then zero comms, nothing for two weeks and you then have to cancel ? (not sure if i have to pay a listing fees too)

Is it some kind of a scam to get email addresses or mobile number or address somehow ?

5 times i've listed furniture, someones won every time and then nothing. Such an annoying waste of time
    HottUKDealer's avatar
eBay cancel the deal after 4 days don’t they ?

Last 3 promos I've only been accepted for 70% instead of 80%.
This looks like the final tier before I get dropped on all promos

I've tried a couple of these. The 80% ones always says they're not valid for me and the 70% ones look like they should be, but then say expired when u activate them. Anyone else have this issue?

I think ebay only accept you for this until you've reached a certain sale total. I sell frequently and got these until Feb and then nothing since. I questioned them and they just gave me some scripted bs about it being random and I will definitely get an offer soon. Over 7 months later and nothing. Great way to reward 20 year plus seller!
    stingersplash's avatar
It must be high then....I sell things every month. Not as many as I used to but probably around 15 items. Probably around 450-500. I do make sure to always list 100 and that seems to work.

I don’t know if somethings changed but I’ve been using this for years and it’s worked. But I relisted something this weekend after activating this and sold this morning but didn’t get 70% off. I contacted them through chat and was told the item has to sell the first listing, but as I relisted it didn’t qualify 👎 (edited)
