Apple Music via Turkey

Apple Music via Turkey is 19.99TL / 58p per month for a single account. Tempting.
Looks like you can pay with a gift card for an annual sub.
I've no experience of Apple products or Turkey VPN purchases. Avoiding the need for a bank card would make this a good option for many.
Anyone done this recently?
Is it case of :-
1. Land in Turkey with VPN (via app or desktop?).
2. Buy a Turkey Apple gift card.
3. Create Apple account.
4. Redeem gift card.
5. Subscribe to Apple Music.
6. Drop VPN and get listening.

If it worked for you can you provide some info please?

This would be good for people who want to use it on android. You wouldn't really be able to use it with your existing iPhone as you wouldn't be able to access all your purchases/backups etc when you sign out to have to sign in to this new turkey account.

Android good for me. I VPN'd to Turkey via phone and installed Apple Music. The price displayed was TL but only option was to enter bank card details, address etc. Couldnt immediately see how a Gift card was redeemed in the app.

    Edit:typo (edited)

The giftcard option has been removed from the app. I guess theyre tightening up. Installing an older APK may still work. A post higher up says Itunes on Desktop PC is an alternative.

Thanks. I'll try the desktop option. No doubt I'll be back on here when I've hit the next roadblock

Added gift cards to Apple Music Windows app and subscribed to individual, for those that don't want to sub using Android.

How do I actually do this on iphone?

If I change my apple store to Turkey, I can see it's prices in Turkey.

But if I change it back to UK, it reverts back to UK prices.

If you have an Apple phone then that's a problem, but just for the app on Android is fine. (edited)

I started AM Turkey using android on Bluestacks. It allowed me to start a Family sub, and after the trial month Google took the first Family payment. But there was a problem: when I first started the trial it allowed me to enter my wife as a family member, but when I tried a few weeks later it wouldn't allow me to add any other family members without having a Turkish CC registered (even though Google Play was taking the money). I chatted with CS and they were adamant that I needed to register a Turkish CC even though Google Play was taking the money.

I know you can use Turkish gift cards as a workaround, but can you add family members when using just gift cards (no need to register Turkish CC)?

can anyone help me? I'm on android using Windscribe VPN. Bought a itunes gift card but when I log in to Apple Music app I can't see an option to pay using giftcard, and when I try and subscribe it changes from TL to GBP.
Any work arounds? If not, any way of using the itunes giftcard for other things?

I subbed to Apple Music in Turkey when I had an iPhone, thought I could share it with my UK account like you can with storage but wasn't possible so just cancelled it and went back to Spotify. Very easy to subscribe using VPN and OlduBil card.

I tried this but now I have 200 tr credit but no way of using it. There isn't any option to pay with balance only subscribe monthly for 39.99 with a card which I don't have.
