Just a heads up, you *may* run into difficulties getting the 5-year warranty registered. Had this issue myself a while back. Did get resolved in the end, but was a lot of hassle.

The EPP site is meant to be excluded from the promotion, but the t&c aren't listed on either the EPP or regular Samsung UK sites.

You can find all of the TV warranty registration links at: my-samsung.com/uk/…rs/ and it says the EPP is excluded on the eStore registration page, but you can't access this page directly from the Samsung UK site as far as I can tell, so there's no way for a customer to know this until they try to register their newly purchased set...

If you are buying, my advice would be, take some screenshots of the product features segment that clearly shows 5 YEAR WARRANTY, as well as the images in the product listing that show the 5 year warranty logo. And don't buy the S92C if you want the warranty, as it doesn't mention it for that one.

    Thank you for this.

What a conundrum! Ordered the s92c prior to your message, but tempted to cancel and reorder with the s90c in the hopes I qualify for the 5 year warranty

How annoying... As the s92c is meant to have slightly better speakers

Edited: Looks like S92C don't have better sound system but different tone front panel.
Some sites mentioning s90cd has improved sound.
Don't believe everything you see on Internet... 😔 (edited)

I was trying to work out whether to go for the S92C...

Sweet spot for gamers. 2nd gen QD-OLED panel, 4 x HDM1 2.1 ports, no dodgy one connect box like the S95C, no dimming in game mode like the G3, doesn't cost the earth like the Sony.
    Jake1983's avatar
Are these definitely 2nd gen panels now? Heard it was still luck of the draw, only guaranteed way of getting the 2nd gen screen was to get the S95C.

If this has changed I’m all in, like you say dropouts on the S95C due to the one connect was putting me off that one . (edited)

Very good, bang for buck TV. Not too far off the S95C and better than the C3 imo. You'll get a second generation panel which means slightly better colour and brightness too. If you prefer 'colour pop' over accuracy then get this TV over the LG. (edited)

Surely worth waiting for Black Friday?
    Stephen_Daley's avatar
2399 is very cheap for what many customers have paid around 3000 for.
I doubt itll be cheaper for black friday.

Is this tv better than the 77 inch c3 lg?
    gg1pl's avatar
100%, G3 is the competition which this wins due to outstanding value

OP - Worth mentioning that same deal is available via Perks At Work. Just checked, exactly the same
    lacom's avatar
And hapibenefits and youatwork as well

Brilliant price. Can anyone share the 5 year warranty info/confirmation? Thx
    simon.83's avatar
just made a post about this, based on my fairly recent experience.

Also worth going through top cashback, I did and wasn't optimistic it would go.through but today showing payable 🙃🙃
  10. BettySwallocks's avatar
Oh man this is really tempting. I'm waiting on a 77" G3 deal, and had this on the shortlist too. Decision time. Thanks for sharing
    Pindi's avatar
I would say the G3 is the better TV, but this is a great price for the S90C.

If I didn't still have my LG 3D 65" OLED TV, I would jump on this! (edited)

I wonder what offer Samsung will come out with tomorrow as this seems to be the last day of the free soundbar offer? I only wish I could fit a 77 inch in my living room but 55 inch is my limit due to the silly room layout.

15% Topcashback as well but that doesn't apply to the EPP store I don't think. With that in mind, it is almost better to go to Samsung UK direct instead of through the EPP store, then you won't have the mess of claiming the 5 year warranty. I wish they'd stop that nonsense with the EPP store and just let everyone have the 5 year warranty!

What’s the motion like on this?

Would you get cashback on top?
    sotv's avatar
Assume you're on about the Soundbar cashback? If so no the £600 cashback is based on buying this TV with a HW-S800B/XU soundbar, not the one with this offer

When I’m going through my company discount scheme (smart spending) it doesn’t add a soundbar in the basket?

Does not qualify for 5 years warranty. Confirmed on live char
    lacom's avatar
That's not what they told me, but can't find transcript of that conversation in email :/

    31/08/2023:
"thank you for waiting patiently. As I checked here you can still register this to the extended warranty even you have purchase this on the EPP. The 5-year warranty covers the labour and parts." (edited)

    Crystal ball time

Is this likely to drop any further for BF or CM?

Really tempted but I can hold off.

Not sure if others have mentioned but I don't think the warranty covers screen burn. I guess this is to be expected because it's something that users can cause by running torture tests on their TV's.

"To the maximum extent permitted by law, warranty service does not include repair of failures
    caused by:

    • Screen burn (in relation to OLED TV models only)"
    cactusjack's avatar
No, the warranty definitely doesn't cover screen burn, but I thought that was common knowledge.

Came last week, all settled now in terms of settings and setup. I think it's a brilliant TV- I returned my 77 C3 which I got for £2508 recently for this and I'm very happy with it. Paired it with the Q930C and the Q-Symphony works well

I had a 65" S95B last year that came with a slightly curved panel, which I had them replace for that reason... and the replacement also had a curve, albeit less curved than the first one. This 77" S90C is dead straight which I'm happy about

Edit - also, in terms of motion took some fidding: At first, I had the picture clarity to 'off', but I found the motion was better for me when I had picture clarity turned 'on' but with all settings within it turned 'off' or down to '0'. Saw this mentioned on a thread elsewhere and it did the trick for me (edited)

Hi. Mine came Saturday...very pleased. The Dark Knight in 4K was the first movie I played...the iMAX scenes were phenomenal. Do you have any recommended settings you used? Also got Samsung to send me an email saying my TV came with a 5 year warranty. (edited)

  25. RUGAAL's avatar
    Soundbar still included?
    cactusjack's avatar
It doesn't mention the soundbar on the EPP store now. At least as far as I can tell. It does however show £300 cashback, so still a brilliant deal.
