Sikh gurdwaras serve free meals throughout the day in areas where the langar runs 7 days. But even most smaller gurdwaras will be serving food daily during the Christmas period, because of the remembrance of the 4 sahibzadas happening for around a week.

Many sikh gurdwaras in the UK are available for food all year round. I remember I used to go to the gurdwaras in Slough and Southall, where homeless used to visit. (edited)

By all means visit, but as per tenets of the faith important to keep in mind no drinking or smoking or other intoxicants are allowed on premises even ideally before visiting, you have to remove your shoes in the hall where you eat and cover your head, scarfs are usually provided where one deposits shoes and aim to visit after a shower but realise not always possible where homeless are concerned.

Sikh Gurdwaras have been providing free meals for over 500 years without differentiation or looking at a persons faith, caste, creed or status.

DM me if you have further Qs (edited)

Back in the 70's I was a little kid living in Peckham with my widowed Mum. Money was extremely tight but I will always remember my mum asking the local down and out fella, sitting outside the post office, if he'd like to have Christmas dinner with us. He looked shocked but declined the invite. He sadly died a few years later and the South London Press did a story on him and it turned out that he was a multi millionaire.

I remember asking my mum after she'd invited him, why would you ask him for Christmas dinner mum? She said, we don't have much but he has nothing. Her face was a picture when my brothers told her that he was "cake o bake o"

I just moved to Rochester (ME1). The house is without cooker. We haven't had a hot meal since 20th. Any idea where could I take my family to have something warm today.

I am not even familiar with the area so not sure if any offers from the links apply.

    Thanks
